Product Overview
Designed for borehole applications, the Lowara 6GS55 represents a high-efficiency hydraulic wet end within the e-GS line. This pump end must be coupled with a 5.5 kW (7.33 HP) motor to become fully operational. Standard well installation is vertical, though horizontal deployment is permissible.
An outer sleeve of stainless steel protects the multi-stage hydraulic pathways. The assembly utilizes 52 floating impellers made of PC/PPO + PS polymer components. The system handles suspended sand up to a maximum concentration of 150 grams per cubic meter.
Pairing this multi-stage wet end with a compatible 5.5 kW motor (rated at 13.7 Amps on a 415 V three-phase connection) enables a maximum head of 283.6 m. The pump end delivers a maximum flow of 140 L/Min through its Rp 1-1/4" (32 mm) outlet. Flow parameters follow manufacturer data.
The pump end is specified for continuous water temperatures up to a maximum of 35°C. Submergence limits are 150 meters with 4OS motors and up to 300 meters with L4C motor options. Horizontal installation is possible up to standard motor-rated power limits. The multi-stage design requires proper coupling with standard motors to maintain correct performance under standard system heads.
FEATURES

Which electrical voltage and motor kilowatt power are needed to run this pump?
Borehole delivery is achieved when the 6GS55 wet end is paired with a 5.5 kW motor on 220–240 V, 50 Hz, single-phase (while 380–415 V, 50 Hz, three-phase motors are supported).
Does this borehole pump include a built-in non-return valve and permit horizontal placement?
Water backflow is halted by an integrated stainless-steel non-return valve in the 6GS-55 head, with horizontal mounting supported at a minimum recommended 3° incline with the motor lowest and a cooling sleeve.
What maximum dynamic head rating can this deep well extraction unit achieve?
Lifting water reliably from deep aquifer layers, the 6 GS 55 produces a maximum dynamic head of approximately 283.6 m under standard test ratings.
What diameter pipe connection is on the top discharge and what peak volume is pumped?
Piping attaches to the pump via the standard 32 mm (Rp 1-1/4") delivery port, allowing the 6_GS_55 to generate a maximum flow rate of approximately 140 L/Min inside standard 4-inch (100 mm) or larger borehole casings.
How does this pump construction resist wear from abrasive grit and corrosive water?
The robust stainless-steel with floating impellers construction of the 6GS55 protects against corrosive groundwater and tolerates sand up to 150 g/m³.
