Product Overview

The Lowara BG3 self-priming centrifugal pump is designed for water distribution, irrigation, pressure boosting, rainwater collection, and washing applications where dependable self-priming operation is required. Its close-coupled centrifugal hydraulic design with integrated ejector system allows the pump to maintain priming performance even in applications involving water containing dissolved gases, making it suitable for residential, agricultural, and light industrial clean water transfer duties.

Constructed with stainless steel AISI 304 hydraulic components, the BG3 combines corrosion-resistant durability with efficient water transfer performance across continuous operating applications. The pump delivers flow rates up to 47.5 L/Min with maximum head performance up to 30.6 metres based on the highest non-zero operating point from the technical performance table. The three-phase IE2 motor operates on 415V 50Hz power supply with maximum input power of 0.68 kW, rated current of 1.48A, and operating speed of approximately 2900 rpm.

The built-in ejector system assists with reliable self-priming functionality while the asynchronous externally ventilated motor design supports stable hydraulic operation across pressure boosting and water supply systems. The motor incorporates IP55 protection and Class 155 (F) insulation for demanding operating environments where consistent water transfer performance is required.

The BG3 is equipped with 32 mm inlet and 25 mm outlet connections for integration into clean water transfer and pressure supply installations. Its compact lightweight construction assists with installation flexibility across irrigation systems, rainwater collection setups, washing systems, and general water transfer applications. Supplied with manufacturer warranty coverage for self-priming centrifugal pump applications.

What maximum flow rate and suction discharge port connections are on this pump?

Water transfer duties are powered by the BG3, delivering a peak flow rate of approximately 60 L/Min through its Rp 1-1/4" (32 mm) suction and Rp 1" (25 mm) discharge connection ports.

What materials are used in the pump body and ejector assembly to resist fluid corrosion?

Hydraulic corrosion defense in clean water transfer is provided by AISI 304 stainless steel casing and impeller, with Technopolymer PA66+GF30 built-in ejector in the BG-3, rated for liquid temperatures from -10°C to +40°C.

What electrical voltage and kilowatt power feed are required to drive this three-phase pump?

Three-phase electrical input for the BG 3 is rated at 0.37 kW on a 380–415 V, 50 Hz, three-phase grid at 1.48 A, protected by an IP55 weatherproof motor enclosure, Class F insulation.

How does the integrated ejector support priming and where is horizontal mounting recommended?

Horizontal surface mounting on a rigid foundation is advised for the BG_3, utilizing its integrated ejector to maintain suction prime up to 8 meters.

What peak dynamic elevation head can this self-priming jet pump generate?

Suction lift and pressure boosting duties are met by the BG3, achieving a maximum dynamic head of approximately 36.9 m.
