Product Overview
For high-lift groundwater supply, commercial waterworks and pressure main systems, the 4ZN612/12 provides a twelve-stage radial flow pump end designed for deep borehole installations. Its stage configuration provides increased hydraulic lift for applications where a lower-stage pump end may not provide sufficient head.
The ZN6 pump end is manufactured in AISI 316 stainless steel, with AISI 316L stainless steel impellers and diffusers and removable wear rings. The rotating shaft uses Duplex stainless steel UNS S 31803, while the replaceable coupling is Duplex stainless steel UNS S 32304. When matched with a C4S motor, the installation is limited to 60°C operating water temperature and permits suspended sand up to 100 g/m³.
A maximum flow of 275 L/Min and maximum head of 136 metres are specified for the 4ZN612/12, with hydraulic performance assessed to EN ISO 9906 Grade 3B. The standard Rp 2 1/2– (65 mm) threaded connection provides the delivery outlet, while the standard 4-inch NEMA motor connection allows coupling with a C4S submersible motor. Maximum immersion depth is 300 metres with C4S motors.
The discharge arrangement uses a microcast ASTM CF-8M (AISI 316 cast) discharge head and lower support, incorporating the stainless steel integrated non-return valve. Safety-hook holes are also provided to assist with controlled lowering and securing during borehole installation.
FEATURES
- The twelve radial stages provide the hydraulic lift required for higher-head groundwater and pressure applications.
- Removable impeller wear rings make the hydraulic clearances serviceable during maintenance.
- AISI 316L impellers and diffusers provide the specified material construction for the radial stages.
- The Duplex UNS S 31803 shaft is used for the rotating assembly.
- The replaceable Duplex UNS S 32304 coupling supports the specified motor connection arrangement.
- AISI 316L tie rods and cable guard maintain the stainless-steel construction around the pump end.
- The microcast ASTM CF-8M discharge assembly combines the lower support with the integrated non-return valve.
* Submersible motor sold separately - requires coupling and assembly

What construction materials prevent corrosion and abrasive wear in this pump?
Durability against corrosion and particulate erosion is achieved by the 4ZN612/12 through AISI 316 stainless steel pump end, AISI 316L stainless steel impellers and diffusers with removable wear rings, Duplex UNS S 31803 shaft, and Duplex UNS S 32304 coupling, tolerating sand up to 100 g/m³.
Which voltage source and motor power rating are required for this borehole unit?
Electrical connection specifies a 4-inch NEMA C4S submersible motor rated for 7.5 kW on 380–415 V, 50 Hz, three-phase drawing 18.7 A for the 4ZN612-12, supporting water temperatures up to 60°C and immersion to 300 meters.
Is a built-in non-return valve included in the head and is horizontal placement supported?
System piping protection is ensured by an integrated stainless steel non-return valve in the 4 ZN 612 12, which also allows horizontal installation with a minimum recommended 3° incline and motor in the lowest position.
What is the rated vertical lifting elevation for this borehole submersible assembly?
Under deep borehole duties, the 4_ZN_612_12 produces a maximum dynamic head of approximately 136.1 m to move groundwater up to ground level facilities.
What thread connection fits the delivery outlet and what maximum flow volume is produced?
Water delivery is channeled through the Rp 2 1/2" (65 mm) discharge port, with the 4ZN612/12 providing a peak flow of approximately 275 L/Min when installed in standard 6-inch borehole installations.
