Product Overview

For high-volume irrigation from six-inch boreholes, the ZN616/6 provides a six-stage radial flow wet end with a maximum flow of 367 L/Min and a maximum head of 73 metres. Its configuration is intended for installations where substantial water volume and moderate hydraulic lift are required.

The pump end is manufactured from AISI 316 stainless steel. Its AISI 316L impellers and diffusers incorporate removable wear rings, while the rotating shaft is Duplex stainless steel UNS S 31803 and the replaceable coupling is Duplex stainless steel UNS S 32304. Suspended sand up to 100 g/m³ is permitted.

The standard L6W motor configuration limits operating water temperature to 35°C. Hydraulic performance is specified to EN ISO 9906 Grade 3B. Water exits through the Rp 2 1/2– (65 mm) threaded connection, with a standard 6-inch NEMA motor connection. Maximum immersion depth is 350 metres when used with an L6W motor.

The microcast ASTM CF-8M (AISI 316 cast) discharge head and lower support incorporate an integrated stainless steel non-return valve. Safety-hook holes provide the necessary attachment points for borehole installation.

FEATURES

  • Six radial stages provide the hydraulic capacity required for high-volume irrigation.
  • AISI 316L impellers and diffusers provide the specified stainless-steel hydraulic construction.
  • Removable wear rings allow service access to hydraulic clearances.
  • The Duplex UNS S 31803 shaft supports the rotating assembly.
  • The replaceable Duplex UNS S 32304 coupling provides the specified connection.
  • AISI 316L tie rods and cable guard form part of the external assembly.
  • The microcast discharge head incorporates the lower support and non-return valve.

* Submersible motor sold separately - requires coupling and assembly

Which electrical voltage and motor kilowatt power are needed to run this pump?

Electrical parameters for the ZN616/6 specify a 6-inch NEMA L6W motor running on 380–415 V, 50 Hz, three-phase pulling 12.7 A, with safe operation up to 35°C and immersion to 350 meters.

Does this borehole pump include a built-in non-return valve and permit horizontal placement?

Backflow elimination is achieved in the ZN616-6 via an integrated stainless steel non-return valve in the delivery port, allowing horizontal placement at a minimum recommended 3° incline with the motor positioned lowest.

Can this deep borehole unit lift water consistently across steep vertical well columns?

Lifting water reliably from deep aquifer layers, the ZN 616 6 produces a maximum dynamic head of approximately 73.6 m under standard test ratings.

What diameter pipe connection is on the top discharge and what peak volume is pumped?

Piping attaches to the pump via the standard Rp 2 1/2" (65 mm) delivery port, allowing the ZN_616_6 to generate a maximum flow rate of approximately 367 L/Min inside standard 6-inch borehole installations.

How does this pump construction resist wear from abrasive grit and corrosive water?

The robust AISI 316 stainless steel pump end, AISI 316L stainless steel impellers and diffusers with removable wear rings, Duplex UNS S 31803 shaft, and Duplex UNS S 32304 coupling construction of the ZN616/6 protects against corrosive groundwater and tolerates sand up to 100 g/m³.
