Product Overview

The Lowara ZN660/4 is engineered as a standalone submersible wet end, belonging to the borehole water extraction line of the Z6 Series. Operating this wet end requires secure coupling with a compatible 7.5 kW electric motor of the appropriate power rating. Designed for secure installation inside standard 6-inch deep wells, the assembly operates inside standard casings. It is suitable for groundwater lowering and dewatering systems, municipal supply lines, and agricultural distribution projects.

To support long-term physical stability during operation, the structural sleeve and discharge head are engineered from cast AISI 316 Stainless Steel. The multi-stage centrifugal hydraulic assembly consists of 4 stages, each incorporating an AISI 316L stainless steel radial impeller. The integrated radial impellers are designed to limit abrasive wear from sand particles, supporting water containing up to 100 g/m³ of suspended sand.

Once paired with its designated 7.5 kW electric motor (nominal current rating of 17 Amps), the coupled assembly achieves up to 42 m maximum head. This multi-stage hydraulic wet end generates a maximum flow of 1,300 L/Min through its Rp 80 mm threaded connection. All performance parameters are in accordance with manufacturer technical specifications.

The pump has a maximum external diameter of 142 mm for installation inside standard 6-inch borehole wells. Maximum pump immersion depth is 300 m when used with C4S motors and 350 m when used with L6W motors. The lower support bracket incorporates a standard 6" NEMA-compliant mount for simple mechanical motor integration. Safe coupling requires correct mechanical alignment of the pump shaft and the motor shaft during mechanical coupling.

What construction materials prevent corrosion and abrasive wear in this pump?

Durability against corrosion and particulate erosion is achieved by the ZN660/4 through AISI 316 stainless steel pump end, AISI 316L stainless steel impellers and diffusers with removable wear rings, Duplex UNS S 31803 shaft, and Duplex UNS S 32304 coupling, tolerating sand up to 100 g/m³.

Which voltage source and motor power rating are required for this borehole unit?

Electrical demands for operating the ZN660-4 specify a 6-inch NEMA L6W motor connection of 7.5 kW on 380–415 V, 50 Hz, three-phase with 17 A full current.

Is a built-in non-return valve included in the head and is horizontal placement supported?

Reverse column backflow is prevented in the ZN 660 4 by an integrated stainless steel non-return valve in the head, with horizontal mounting supported at a minimum recommended 3° incline with the motor lowest.

What is the rated vertical lifting elevation for this borehole submersible assembly?

Under deep borehole duties, the ZN_660_4 produces a maximum dynamic head of approximately 42 m to move groundwater up to ground level facilities.

What thread connection fits the delivery outlet and what maximum flow volume is produced?

Water delivery is channeled through the Rp 3" (80 mm) discharge port, with the ZN660/4 providing a peak flow of approximately 1300 L/Min when installed in standard 6-inch borehole installations.
