Extraction of water from ponds, streams or pits is efficiently managed by the Calpeda GXRM 12-20. This single-phase submersible pump is rated for continuous duty in clean water containing suspended solids up to 12 mm. It is ideal for draining flooded rooms and tanks and rainwater collection where the liquid temperature does not exceed 40°C.

Powered by a robust 1.5 kW 240v motor, this model achieves a maximum head of 18.4 m and a maximum flow rate of 500 L/min. Operating with a rated current of 13 Amps, the pumped liquid provides continuous motor cooling during operation. This self-cooling design ensures the unit can operate safely even when the motor is only partially submerged.

Water passes through an open single impeller arranged to handle clean water containing suspended solids up to 12 mm. The suction filter is integrated into the AISI 304 pump casing to protect the hydraulic components, while the vertical delivery port simplifies connection to discharge pipework. Automatic operation is managed by a float switch, which requires a minimum water level of 70 mm for activation.

The close-coupled construction features motor and pump jackets manufactured from chrome-nickel stainless steel AISI 304. Motor sealing is achieved using a double shaft seal with an oil-filled chamber for lubrication and protection. This single-phase unit includes a built-in thermal protector, an incorporated capacitor, and a double impregnation humidity-proof dry winding for long-term reliability.

    FEATURES

    • Primary structural components including the pump casing and filter are fabricated from chrome-nickel stainless steel AISI 304.
    • Double shaft seal configuration with an integrated oil chamber protects the motor against water ingress.
    • Mechanical seal lubrication is provided by a dedicated oil chamber containing oil suitable for food and pharmaceutical machinery.
    • Integrated float switch enables automated water level management for pits and sumps without manual intervention.
    • Induction motor features a built-in thermal protector and incorporated capacitor for safe single-phase 240v operation.
    • Open impeller design facilitates the handling of clean water containing suspended solids up to 12 mm.
    • Double impregnation humidity-proof dry winding ensures motor durability during permanent underwater installation.
    • Class F insulation and IP X8 protection rating allow for continuous duty immersion at depths up to 5 meters.
