Product Overview

Wastewater collection systems and municipal networks requiring grey water removal use the cast iron SEV.80.80.13.4.50B for reliable hydraulic transfer. This submersible pump is intended for the pumping of contaminated liquids in collection pits where a stable pH between 4 and 10 is maintained. The system addresses these environmental demands by providing a solution for wastewater and effluent containing organic solids. This unit supports wastewater transfer and pump station duties where solids passage and liquid temperature management up to 40°C are required.

Hydraulic capacity is provided by a 1.3 kW four-pole motor operating on a 415v three-phase supply with a rated current of 3.7 Amps. This model achieves a maximum flow of 1086 L/Min and reaches a maximum head of 8.4 m to satisfy specific gravity drainage requirements. The motor operates at 1440 rpm, maintaining torque and hydraulic stability throughout the service cycle in drainage stations. Electrical connection is established via a 15-metre Lyniflex power cable, facilitating distribution for sub-surface wastewater handling and municipal networks.

Internal centrifugal design utilizes a SuperVortex impeller configuration to facilitate the passage of solids in suspension. This design handles particles up to 80 mm in diameter, preventing the internal clogging that could otherwise compromise volumetric efficiency over long-term service. By utilizing a vortex flow path, the unit minimizes internal friction and vibration to protect the rotating assembly during prolonged discharge. The impeller handles liquids containing organic materials to maintain operational flow behavior in wastewater collection pits.

Mechanical stability is achieved through a heavy-duty cast iron body and motor shell with an IP68 protection rating for permanent dry or submerged installations. Longevity is anchored by a double mechanical shaft seal arrangement featuring a SiC/SiC primary seal in an oil bath for motor insulation. This unit includes integrated thermal sensors for operational monitoring and protection against overheating. The architectural casting features a DN 80 inlet size for integration into standard wastewater infrastructure and treatment plant transfer duties.

Features

  • SuperVortex impeller configuration facilitates the passage of solids up to 80 mm without internal clogging.
  • Heavy-duty cast iron housing and motor shell provide a durable foundation for dry and submerged site installations.
  • Four-pole motor operating at 1440 rpm provides torque for industrial wastewater and grey water handling.
  • Double mechanical shaft seal in an oil bath with silicon carbide faces ensures protection for the 1.3 kW motor.
  • Standard 15-metre Lyniflex power cable provides a secure, oil-resistant connection for deep pit wastewater applications.
  • IP68 enclosure rating ensures the motor remains protected during permanent immersion in aggressive fluid environments.
  • DN 80 inlet and DN 80 outlet connections allow for wastewater transfer through standard industrial pipework.

Under severe sewer surcharge conditions, what peak volumetric throughput is discharged?

Storm surge displacement peaks at a maximum of 1086 L/Min using Grundfos SEV.80.80.13.4.50B.

At peak delivery pressure, what maximum vertical head does this submersible unit reach?

Effluent elevation through vertical risers peaks at 8.4 m with SEV.80.80.13.4.50B.

Operating under utility power, which electrical ratings, line voltage parameters, and full-load current drive this submerged motor?

Line current draw is rated at 3.7 Amps for SEV-80-80-13-4-50B, driven by a 1.3 kW motor on a three-phase 415 V supply.

When elevating heavy effluent, how does the vortex hydraulic design sweep heavy solids smoothly into plant mains?

Particulates in wastewater clear through SEV 80 80 13 4 50B via an internal 80 mm passage designed into the SuperVortex channel.

Sealing against discharge pipes, which mounting system provides automatic sealing against wet well discharge elbows?

Efficient vault maintenance is achieved because SEV/80/80/13/4/50B disengages automatically from its auto-coupling base during hoist extraction.
