Product Overview
Industrial effluent and municipal wastewater transfer are the primary applications for the Grundfos SL1.50.65.40.A.EX.2.50B.C, an explosion-proof submersible pump certified under CE EN12050-2 and IECEX for hazardous zones. This model is suitable for permanent installation in collection reservoirs and sumps for handling untreated wastewater.
The model features a 4 kW 2-pole motor running at 2930 rpm. Operating on a 3 x 415V supply with a rated current of 8.2 Amps, it provides a maximum head up to 25.8 m and a maximum flow up to 1164 L/min. The motor is rated for continuous S1 duty in untreated wastewater at temperatures between 0°C and 40°C. The motor is cooled by the surrounding pumped liquid during normal submerged operation.
The S-tube impeller is designed for untreated wastewater containing solids up to 50 mm while helping reduce the risk of clogging. It utilises a DN 65 inlet and a DN 65 (2.5") outlet with DIN flange standards. This design supports the transfer of solids through high-resistance discharge piping in industrial facilities.
The pump housing and motor casing are constructed from EN-GJL-250 cast iron. Protection includes a double SIC/SIC mechanical seal and integrated PTC sensors for motor protection. Integrated moisture and water-in-oil sensors are used for seal and motor monitoring, and the unit features a 10-metre LYNIFLEX power cable and an IP68 enclosure rating. The pump is suitable for installation depths up to 7 metres.

Warranty & Returns
All products supplied by Foundation Pumps are covered by a minimum 12-month warranty unless otherwise stated. Some brands may offer longer manufacturer warranties. Warranty covers manufacturing defects, faulty materials and workmanship under normal use.
- Products must be installed correctly and in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions.
- Warranty does not cover incorrect installation, misuse, dry running, normal wear and tear, unauthorised repairs or damage caused by external factors.
- Proof of purchase, photos, videos and installation details may be requested when assessing a warranty claim.
- The customer is responsible for returning the product to Foundation Pumps or the nominated service centre unless otherwise agreed.
- Removal, reinstallation, labour and associated site costs are generally the customer’s responsibility unless required under Australian Consumer Law.
- Change-of-mind returns may be accepted within 30 days provided the product is unused, uninstalled and returned in its original packaging.
- Customers are responsible for return freight costs for change-of-mind returns.
- Restocking fees may apply to special-order, bulky or non-stocked products.
- Used, installed or specially ordered products may not be eligible for change-of-mind returns.
- If a product arrives damaged or faulty, please contact Foundation Pumps as soon as possible so we can assist with the appropriate repair, replacement or refund.
