Efficiently draining flooded rooms and managing basement wastewater is the primary function of the Calpeda GXVM 25-6. This submersible drainage unit is designed for handling clean or slightly dirty water containing suspended solids up to 25 mm in grain size. It is suitable for domestic and civil applications where the liquid temperature does not exceed 50°C, providing reliable service in continuous duty environments.

Powered by a 0.25 kW single-phase 240v supply, this model achieves a maximum flow rate of 170 L/min and reaches a total head of 5.7 m. Drawing a rated current of 2.5 Amps, the pumped liquid dissipates motor heat during operation, which facilitates safe service during extended run cycles. The unit includes an integrated float switch for automated start/stop functionality based on water levels.

Hydraulic performance is produced by a single-impeller free-flow vortex design that allows for the passage of solids without clogging. The vertical delivery port configuration assists in installations within narrow spaces, while the integrated filter restricts the entry of oversized debris. Manual operation allows for drainage down to a residual water level of 30 mm, while the automatic switch requires 130 mm for activation.

Mechanical durability is provided by the use of chrome-nickel stainless steel AISI 304 for the pump casing and motor jacket. Sealing is managed by a double mechanical shaft seal with an oil chamber containing oil for food and pharmaceutical machinery. The induction motor features an incorporated capacitor, a built-in thermal protector, and a triple impregnation humidity-proof dry winding for long-term reliability.

    FEATURES

    • AISI 304 stainless steel construction for the pump casing and motor jacket ensures maximum corrosion resistance.
    • Double mechanical shaft seal with an oil chamber provides a robust barrier against water ingress into the motor.
    • Seal lubrication is ensured by a dedicated oil chamber filled with oil suitable for food and pharmaceutical use.
    • Integrated float switch enables automated drainage control for collection pits and flooded rooms.
    • The pumped liquid dissipates motor heat by circulating through the external jacket for thermal stability.
    • Vortex impeller design facilitates the handling of liquids with a high solid content up to 25 mm.
    • Motor reliability is supported by a triple impregnation humidity-proof dry winding constructed to EN 60335-2-41.
    • Certified IP X8 protection rating for continuous immersion at depths of up to 5 meters with included cable.
