Managing water level control in collection tanks is simplified by the Calpeda GXVM 25-8 GFA, which features an integrated vertical magnetic float switch. This design is specifically engineered for automated drainage in confined spaces where a standard float switch would lack sufficient room to operate. The unit handles clean or slightly dirty water with solids up to 25 mm and is rated for continuous duty.

Hydraulic output reaches a maximum flow of 200 L/min and a total head of 7.8 m. Powered by a 0.37 kW single-phase 240v motor drawing 3.5 Amps, internal cooling is achieved by fluid circulating between the motor jacket and outer shell. This self-cooling capability allows for safe operation during partial submersion in pits or flooded rooms with temperatures up to 50°C.

The hydraulic section incorporates a single-impeller vortex design that facilitates the handling of liquids with a high solid content. This configuration minimizes the risk of clogging, while the vertical delivery port provides a compact footprint for streamlined pipework connections. An integrated filter protects the internal hydraulics, allowing for manual extraction down to a 30 mm water level.

Mechanical durability is provided by the use of chrome-nickel stainless steel AISI 304 for the external jacket and casing. Motor protection is achieved via a double mechanical shaft seal with an oil chamber containing food-grade oil. The motor features an incorporated capacitor, thermal protector, and a triple impregnation humidity-proof dry winding designed for long-term submerged installation.

    FEATURES

    • Includes a vertical magnetic float switch for automated start/stop functionality in restricted installation spaces.
    • External jacket and pump casing manufactured from chrome-nickel stainless steel AISI 304 for durability.
    • Double shaft seal configuration with an oil-filled chamber provides a robust barrier against water ingress.
    • Oil chamber for seal lubrication utilizes specialized oil safe for food and pharmaceutical machinery.
    • Pumped liquid provides continuous motor cooling by flowing through the external jacket during operation.
    • Vortex impeller design enables the passage of suspended solids up to 25 mm without clogging the pump.
    • Motor winding reliability is supported by a triple impregnation humidity-proof dry construction per EN 60335-2-41.
    • Rated for IP X8 continuous immersion up to 5 meters with a specialized 10 m power cable included.
