Onga RFC20BB Radial Flow Granular Carbon 20 Micron 4.5" x 20" Replacement Cartridge

Radial-path design allows this high-capacity carbon block cartridge to reduce chlorine tastes and odors on high-flow water lines. It is designed for installation inside 20-inch Big Blue filter housings, including the Stage 2 of UV7510.

Granular activated carbon is held between a 70-micron porous polyethylene outer shell and a central spun polypropylene core. The nominal dimensions are specified as 20 inches in length by 4.50 inches in outer diameter (114 mm by 508 mm). The assembly includes polypropylene end caps and Buna-N gaskets.

Minimizing carbon dust release, the radial path allows water entry from the outer shell to the central core. Testing indicates an initial pressure drop of 0.90 psi at a test flow rate of 15.1 Lpm. The cartridge operates on cold water supplies with a limit temperature of 51.7 degrees Celsius.

Point-of-entry water lines can employ this cartridge, which is identified by orderable part number RFC20BB. The model RFC20-BB is Tested and Certified by NSF International to NSF/ANSI Standard 42 for material requirements only. Servicing guidelines recommend replacing the carbon cartridge every 6 to 12 months.
