Puretec Radfire R5000 Dual 78W Ultraviolet Water Treatment System

The R5000 Radfire is designed for very large residential properties or commercial facilities. This system is the highest output unit in the R-series. It is suitable for treating large-scale rainwater harvesting systems or rural borehole supplies. The reactor supports vertical or horizontal installation to fit within diverse mechanical room or plant room configurations.

Hydraulic capacity is specified at a maximum flow of 91 Lpm at a 30mJ/cm2 dosage, increasing to 161 Lpm when a 16mJ/cm2 dosage is required. The system utilizes two 78W high-output lamps, drawing a maximum current of 0.34 Amps on a 240v 50/60Hz supply. Total power consumption is rated at 90W. Inlet and outlet connections are 1" to accommodate high-volume fluid transfer. The reactor is rated for a maximum operating pressure of 800 kPa and requires a minimum operating pressure of 10 kPa to maintain hydraulic balance.

Constructed from 304 Stainless Steel, the 100 mm diameter chamber houses dual quartz sleeves and lamps. The unit is designed for operation in ambient temperatures between 0 and 50 degrees Celsius and handles water hardness up to 120 mg/L. A water-resistant power supply houses two electronic ballasts to manage the dual-lamp architecture. The system requires water with a minimum UV transmittance of 85 percent and handles iron levels up to 0.3 mg/L.

System monitoring is provided by dual LED indicators and an audible alarm that triggers upon lamp failure or system fault. Each high-output lamp has a rated service life of 8,760 hours. Maintenance is performed through a tool-free design that allows for quick access to both lamps and sleeves for periodic cleaning and service. The power supply includes independent ballast operation indicators to verify the status of the electrical control system.
