Product Overview

The multi-stage Lowara 12GS55R is a submersible borehole wet end within the high-performance e-GS family of pump ends. The system becomes operational once coupled to a standard 5.5 kW (7.33 HP) electric motor. It allows vertical installation in narrow wells or horizontal mounting.

With a stainless steel external casing, the pump end is constructed to resist water corrosion. The internal design has 30 stages featuring floating impellers molded from PC/PPO + PS polymer. This configuration is specified for suspended sand up to 150 grams per cubic meter.

Pairing this wet end with a standard 5.5 kW electric motor rated at 13.7 Amps on a 415 V three-phase line yields a maximum head of 124.4 m. The multi-stage pump end delivers a maximum flow of 250 L/Min via its Rp 2" (50 mm) outlet. Performance is verified under standard testing.

Maximum fluid temperature for this pump end is specified for 35°C during operation. The submersion limit is 150 meters when coupled with a 4OS motor and up to 300 meters with an L4C motor. Horizontal placement is possible up to motor-rated kilowatts. The multi-stage design requires proper coupling with standard motors to maintain correct performance under standard system heads.

FEATURES

  • Equipped with 30 multi-stage floating impellers designed to minimize abrasive wear from sand particulates.
  • The external sleeve is fabricated from durable stainless steel to prevent rust and prolong operating life.
  • Includes a built-in stainless steel non-return valve in the discharge head to prevent damaging backflow.
  • The hexagonal shaft distributes mechanical torque evenly, eliminating vulnerable keyed connections.
  • Features precision-cast stainless steel upper and lower brackets to maintain alignment with the motor.
  • Complies fully with the Minimum Efficiency Index threshold of 0.40 under European ErP directives.
  • Designed to safely handle water temperatures up to 35°C in continuous underwater applications.

Does this deep well pump have a check valve and can it be installed in horizontal tanks?

The delivery outlet of the 12GS55R contains an integrated stainless-steel non-return valve to manage backflow, while horizontal placement is supported at a minimum recommended 3° incline with the motor lowest.

What depth rating applies to the vertical lifting capability of this submersible water pump?

Providing excellent elevation capacity, the 12GS-55R attains a maximum dynamic head of approximately 124.4 m to lift deep groundwater to storage reservoirs.

Which pipe size fits the discharge head outlet and what is the top flow capacity?

The pump outlet features a standard 50 mm (Rp 2") connection size, enabling the 12 GS 55R to discharge a peak flow of approximately 250 L/Min in standard 4-inch (100 mm) or larger borehole casings.

How does this deep well pump protect internal hydraulic components from abrasive wear?

Defending against borehole water corrosiveness, the 12_GS_55R features stainless steel external casing with floating impellers made of PC/PPO + PS polymer components that withstand suspended sand up to 150 g/m³.

Which voltage supply and power rating are specified for this deep well borehole motor?

Proper motor operation for the 12GS55R necessitates a 5.5 kW capacity on a 380–415 V, 50 Hz, three-phase electrical line, with a current demand of 13.7 A.
