Product Overview

The Lowara 16GS15 pump end is a multi-stage hydraulic wet end designed for borehole extraction in the e-GS range. Starting operation requires coupling the unit with a 1.5 kW (2.0 HP) motor. Standard structural configuration allows vertical mounting or horizontal deployment.

The pump end uses a stainless steel external casing to prevent corrosion. The floating impeller system incorporates 8 stages fabricated from wear-resistant polymer. This multi-stage setup handles suspended sand up to a maximum of 150 grams per cubic meter.

Coupled with the required 1.5 kW motor drawing a nominal current of 10.5 Amps on 240 V single-phase supply, the pump end achieves a maximum head of 30.6 m. This system provides a maximum flow of 367 L/Min via its Rp 2" (50 mm) connection. Operating curves are fully validated.

This borehole pump end is specified for water temperatures up to 35°C. The unit is specified for deep immersion up to 150 meters with a 4OS motor or 300 meters with an L4C motor. Horizontal operation is possible with 4OS motors up to 2.2 kW and L4C motors up to 7.5 kW. The multi-stage design requires proper coupling with standard motors to maintain correct performance under standard system heads.

FEATURES

  • Features 8 multi-stage floating impellers to drastically limit wear and abrasion from suspended sand particles.
  • Constructed with a sturdy stainless steel outer sleeve to limit corrosion and protect internal hydraulic components.

How does this borehole pump construction safeguard against corrosion and wear?

Reliable resistance against mineral oxidation is achieved with stainless steel external casing with floating impellers made of PC/PPO + PS polymer, allowing the 16GS15 to operate in water carrying sand up to 150 g/m³.

Which electrical phase and voltage requirements are needed to run this borehole pump?

Electrical installation specifies a 1.5 kW motor on 220–240 V, 50 Hz, single-phase pulling 10.5 A for the 16GS-15 (with 380–415 V, 50 Hz, three-phase motors also supported).

Is a built-in check valve included in the outlet head and can this unit operate horizontally?

Built-in protection against fluid back-spin is supplied by an integrated stainless-steel non-return valve in the 16 GS 15, which supports horizontal installation at a minimum recommended 3° incline with the motor lowest.

What vertical head can this borehole unit overcome during deep underground extraction?

Deep groundwater extraction is supported by the 16_GS_15, which reaches a maximum dynamic head of approximately 30.6 m from underground boreholes.

Which pipe diameter couples to the top discharge and what is the maximum flow rate?

Plumbing integration is established through the top 50 mm (Rp 2") port, where the 16GS15 yields a maximum flow of approximately 367 L/Min inside standard 4-inch (100 mm) or larger borehole casings.
