Product Overview

Specified as a standalone hydraulic pump end, the Lowara 16GS40 belongs to the e-GS series for deep well extraction. Pairing with a compatible 4.0 kW (5.33 HP) motor is necessary for system operation. Standard vertical casing installation is standard, but horizontal mounting is specified within motor limits.

Constructed with a stainless steel casing, the pump end protects internal hydraulic components from rust. The multi-stage assembly incorporates 21 floating impellers made of PC/PPO + PS polymer. It permits continuous handling of sand in water up to 150 grams per cubic meter.

Pairing this pump end with its required 4.0 kW motor (9.8 Amps current on 415 V three-phase supply) enables a maximum head of 76.7 m. The coupled system produces a maximum flow of 367 L/Min discharging through a 50 mm Rp outlet. Performance curves conform to factory specifications.

During continuous operation, the wet end handles fluid temperatures up to 35°C. Operating depth limits are 150 meters with 4OS motors and up to 300 meters with L4C motors. Horizontal mounting is possible with 4OS motors up to 2.2 kW and L4C motors up to 7.5 kW. The multi-stage design requires proper coupling with standard motors to maintain correct performance under standard system heads.

FEATURES

  • Equipped with 21 multi-stage floating impellers designed to minimize abrasive wear from sand particulates.
  • The external sleeve is fabricated from durable stainless steel to prevent rust and prolong operating life.
  • Includes a built-in stainless steel non-return valve in the discharge head to prevent damaging backflow.
  • The hexagonal shaft distributes mechanical torque evenly, eliminating vulnerable keyed connections.
  • Features precision-cast stainless steel upper and lower brackets to maintain alignment with the motor.
  • Complies fully with the Minimum Efficiency Index threshold of 0.40 under European ErP directives.
  • Designed to safely handle water temperatures up to 35°C in continuous underwater applications.

Can this deep borehole pump achieve sufficient elevation head across high vertical drops?

When extracting groundwater from deep wells, the 16GS40 generates a maximum dynamic head rating of approximately 76.7 m to elevate fluid through long pipe columns.

Which pipe size threads onto the discharge connection and what is the maximum water output?

Standard 50 mm (Rp 2") pipe fittings thread directly onto the delivery port, where the 16GS-40 discharges up to approximately 367 L/Min in standard 4-inch (100 mm) or larger borehole casings.

Does this deep well pump have adequate corrosion protection for mineral-heavy water?

Corrosion defense in mineralized borehole supplies is delivered by stainless steel external casing with floating impellers made of PC/PPO + PS polymer in the 16 GS 40, tolerating sand concentrations up to 150 g/m³.

Which electrical power rating and supply voltage are necessary for this borehole motor?

System design enables the 16_GS_40 to couple with a 4.0 kW motor on 380–415 V, 50 Hz, three-phase drawing 9.8 A.

Does this borehole unit have an integrated check valve and support horizontal mounting?

Fluid column stability during stops is preserved by an integrated stainless-steel non-return valve in the 16GS40, while horizontal operation is supported at a minimum recommended 3° incline with the motor lowest.
