Product Overview
Specified as a standalone hydraulic pump end, the Lowara 8GS11 belongs to the e-GS series for deep well extraction. Pairing with a compatible 1.1 kW (1.47 HP) motor is necessary for system operation. Standard vertical casing installation is standard, but horizontal mounting is specified within motor limits.
Constructed with a stainless steel casing, the pump end protects internal hydraulic components from rust. The multi-stage assembly incorporates 7 floating impellers made of PC/PPO + PS polymer. It permits continuous handling of sand in water up to 150 grams per cubic meter.
Pairing this pump end with its required 1.1 kW motor (7.6 Amps current on 240 V single-phase supply) enables a maximum head of 37.2 m. The coupled system produces a maximum flow of 183 L/Min discharging through a 50 mm Rp outlet. Performance curves conform to factory specifications.
During continuous operation, the wet end handles fluid temperatures up to 35°C. Operating depth limits are 150 meters with 4OS motors and up to 300 meters with L4C motors. Horizontal mounting is possible with 4OS motors up to 2.2 kW and L4C motors up to 7.5 kW. The multi-stage design requires proper coupling with standard motors to maintain correct performance under standard system heads.
FEATURES

What dynamic elevation head can this borehole pump achieve when drawing from deep aquifers?
When lifting groundwater from deep subterranean aquifers, the 8GS11 delivers a maximum dynamic head of approximately 37.2 m, providing reliable water elevation across high vertical pipe columns.
What pipe size connects to the top discharge outlet and what peak flow rate is delivered?
Connecting to your delivery piping requires a standard 50 mm (Rp 2") outlet thread, allowing the 8GS-11 to deliver a peak flow of approximately 183 L/Min while designed to fit inside standard 4-inch (100 mm) or larger borehole casings.
Is this submersible bore pump resistant to corrosion from minerals and particulate wear?
Corrosion defense in harsh underground water sources is provided by stainless steel external casing with floating impellers made of PC/PPO + PS polymer, allowing the 8 GS 11 to maintain structural integrity while tolerating suspended sand concentrations up to 150 g/m³.
What electrical power and voltage supply are required to operate this submersible pump?
Coupling the 8_GS_11 wet end requires a compatible 1.1 kW motor operating on a 220–240 V, 50 Hz, single-phase power supply with a rated current draw of 7.6 A (while 380–415 V, 50 Hz, three-phase motor options are also supported).
Does this pump include an integrated check valve and can it be mounted horizontally?
Reverse flow protection in the 8GS11 is provided by an integrated stainless-steel non-return valve in the discharge head, while horizontal mounting is supported at a minimum recommended 3° incline with the motor at the lowest position and an external cooling shroud fitted.
