Product Overview
Belonging to the 4-inch e-GS borehole range, the Lowara 8GS30 submersible pump end is a multi-stage hydraulic wet end. This component must be coupled to a compatible 3.0 kW (4.0 HP) motor to become functional. Standard well deployment is vertical, with horizontal mounting also available.
The wet end is built with a stainless steel outer sleeve to protect internal parts. Inside the pump casing, 21 floating impellers made of wear-resistant polymer components are arranged in series. The system allows handling of suspended sand up to 150 grams per cubic meter.
When paired with a 3.0 kW electric motor drawing a rated current of 7.1 Amps (415 V three-phase supply), the coupled wet end reaches a maximum head of 113.2 m. The pump end achieves a maximum flow of 183 L/Min via a 50 mm Rp outlet. Water flow is handled by the multi-stage hydraulics.
The hydraulic wet end is specified for submerged operations in liquid temperatures reaching up to 35°C. Operating depth limits are 150 meters with 4OS motors and up to 300 meters with L4C motors. Horizontal use is permissible with 4OS motors up to 2.2 kW and L4C motors up to 7.5 kW. The multi-stage design requires proper coupling with standard motors to maintain correct performance under standard system heads.

What voltage and kilowatt rating are required to run this submersible pumping system?
Supplying electricity to the 8GS30 wet end requires a dedicated 3.0 kW motor operating on a 380–415 V, 50 Hz, three-phase supply with a full-load current draw of 7.1 A.
Is a check valve included in the discharge head and can this unit be installed horizontally?
The discharge head of the 8GS-30 houses an integrated stainless-steel non-return valve to eliminate reverse flow, with horizontal orientation supported at a minimum recommended 3° incline with the motor lowest.
How deep into a subterranean well can this submersible pump operate effectively?
Drawing water from deep well installations, the 8 GS 30 attains a peak dynamic head rating of approximately 113.2 m, generating dependable vertical lift for storage and distribution.
What connection size is on the pump discharge head and what is its peak flow output?
Discharge piping attaches to the integrated 50 mm (Rp 2") threaded head, enabling the 8_GS_30 to achieve a peak flow rate of approximately 183 L/Min within standard 4-inch (100 mm) or larger borehole casings.
What metallurgy is used in this borehole pump to prevent corrosion from groundwater?
Protection against aggressive groundwater chemistry is achieved through stainless steel external casing with floating impellers made of PC/PPO + PS polymer, enabling the 8GS30 to manage abrasive solids up to 150 g/m³ without premature wear.
