Tall commercial properties and hospitality venues depend on steady line pressure when simultaneous fixtures open across upper floors. Configured as a twin-pump boosting station with two horizontal multistage Calpeda MXHL 404 units, the BS2F 2MXHL 404 delivers combined flows up to 266.6 L/Min. To overcome static elevation and pipe friction, the wet end can generate up to 40.5 m of head. Operating as a coordinated pair, the system provides both peak-demand reinforcement and built-in standby security.
System pressure regulation is governed by factory-calibrated differential pressure switches linked directly to a dedicated microprocessor control board. When a single pump cannot satisfy rising fixture demand, the controller seamlessly stages the second pump into service and drops it out once pressure recovers. Built-in duty alternation cycles the lead role between both units, while anti-cycling delay timers protect the starters from frequent short-cycling.
Fluid distribution runs through fabricated stainless steel AISI 304 suction and delivery headers designed to withstand thermal stress and corrosion. A 50 mm inlet manifold feeds the twin pump suctions, which discharge into a common 40 mm outlet header equipped with an external vessel port and a dial pressure gauge. Individual isolation ball valves and spring-loaded check valves on both branches prevent backflow and allow live maintenance.
Built for direct connection to a standard three-phase 415 V switchboard circuit, the booster set drives dual motors wound for three-phase 230/400 V operation. All products supplied by Foundation Pumps are covered by a minimum 12-month warranty unless otherwise stated. Some brands may offer longer manufacturer warranties. Warranty covers manufacturing defects, faulty materials and workmanship under normal use.
- Products must be installed correctly and in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions.
- Warranty does not cover incorrect installation, misuse, dry running, normal wear and tear, unauthorised repairs or damage caused by external factors.
- Proof of purchase, photos, videos and installation details may be requested when assessing a warranty claim.
- The customer is responsible for returning the product to Foundation Pumps or the nominated service centre unless otherwise agreed.
- Removal, reinstallation, labour and associated site costs are generally the customer’s responsibility unless required under Australian Consumer Law.
- Change-of-mind returns may be accepted within 30 days provided the product is unused, uninstalled and returned in its original packaging.
- Customers are responsible for return freight costs for change-of-mind returns.
- Restocking fees may apply to special-order, bulky or non-stocked products.
- Used, installed or specially ordered products may not be eligible for change-of-mind returns.
- If a product arrives damaged or faulty, please contact Foundation Pumps as soon as possible so we can assist with the appropriate repair, replacement or refund.
