Product Overview
Fluctuating draw-off across elevated piping circuits in commercial developments requires responsive, continuous pressure maintenance. Configured with 2 Calpeda MXV 50-2013 vertical multistage pumps in a coordinated parallel layout, this twin booster assembly maintains smooth water delivery. When working against closed delivery valves, the hydraulic assemblies generate a maximum static closed-valve head of 186 m for vertical elevation. During peak facility draw, the dual-pump set delivers a peak volumetric flow rate of 933 L/Min to supply all fixtures concurrently.
Automated pressure regulation is governed by a motor-mounted Calpeda I-MAT variable frequency converter operating the twin pumps in coordinated duty assist staging. Stepless speed modulation continuously matches rotational velocity to instantaneous line demand, maintaining constant pressure while maximizing electrical efficiency. Gradual acceleration ramps eliminate disruptive hydraulic surges, protecting building pipework and inline fittings from mechanical water hammer stresses. Comprehensive digital diagnostics incorporate automated shut-off protection to safeguard the pumping assembly against dry running, phase loss, and overcurrent conditions.
Manufactured with corrosion-resistant AISI 304 stainless steel, the pump wet ends incorporate durable stainless steel casings, diffusers, stage chambers, and impellers. Dual vertical pumps couple directly to rigid AISI 304 stainless steel headers with 80 mm suction and 80 mm discharge ports equipped with G 3" BSP / DN 80 flanged. Individual isolation ball valves and non-return check valves protect each branch, supported by an analog line pressure gauge on an AISI 304 stainless steel mounting base.
Power is provided by dual heavy-duty 2-pole induction motors designed for continuous operation on Australian three-phase 400 V (50 Hz) electrical distribution networks. Running synchronously at 2900 rpm, the electric drives generate 2 x 15 kW of mechanical output with a rated operational full-load current draw of 2 x 27.5 Amps. High-grade electrical laminations and Class F thermal insulation deliver long-term mechanical reliability across continuous commercial duty cycles.
Key Features
- Synchronized dual vertical multistage 13-stage hydraulic wet ends operate in parallel to produce smooth and balanced line pressure.
- An integrated motor-mounted Calpeda I-MAT variable frequency converter continuously modulates operating speed to sustain exact setpoint pressure.
- Heavy-duty AISI 304 stainless steel pump casings, intermediate stage chambers, and impellers ensure superior corrosion resistance.
- Weatherproof electric motor enclosures are sealed to IP55 standards with Class F thermal winding insulation for demanding plant room environments.
- Verified operating limits safely circulate clean commercial liquids across a working temperature spectrum of -15 °C to +110 °C.
- Controlled acceleration and deceleration ramp profiles eliminate sudden pressure spikes and safeguard building pipework from water hammer.
- Integrated digital safety electronics provide automated shutdown protection against dry-running, motor overcurrent, and electrical supply faults.
- Standardized G 3" BSP / DN 80 flanged manifold connections simplify mechanical alignment and expedite site pipework installation.
