Product Overview
Maintaining uniform delivery pressure across extensive commercial developments demands steady and balanced hydraulic support. Built with 2 Calpeda MXV 65-3202 vertical multistage pumps operating in a parallel staging arrangement, this variable-speed twin package ensures continuous pressure stability. At peak consumption, the dual-pump configuration produces a peak volumetric flow rate of 1467 L/Min to sustain commercial operations. Under closed-valve conditions, the vertical multistage stacks develop a maximum shut-off head of 34 m to overcome vertical building height.
Continuous line pressure stability is maintained by an integrated motor-mounted Calpeda I-MAT frequency converter programmed for automated twin-pump management. The variable speed drive tracks line pressure via a digital pressure transducer and modulates operating speed in real time to match consumer draw-off. Controlled acceleration and deceleration ramp profiles prevent hydraulic shock, substantially eliminating pipework water hammer and extending system service life. Integrated electronic safety functions provide automatic shutdown protection against dry-running, motor overcurrent, and phase supply faults.
Engineered for heavy commercial service, the hydraulic assembly features robust Cast Iron GJL 250 pump casings paired with AISI 304 stainless steel intermediate stage chambers and impellers. The twin pumping units connect into heavy-duty stainless steel manifolds featuring matching 100 mm suction and 100 mm delivery connections with DN 100 flanged. Each pump line incorporates dedicated isolation ball valves and non-return check valves, alongside a delivery visual pressure gauge and heavy-duty AISI 304 structural baseplate.
Mechanical drive is delivered by two high-efficiency 2-pole induction electric motors engineered specifically for Australian three-phase 400 V (50 Hz) commercial electrical supplies. Operating smoothly at a rated speed of 2900 rpm, the dual electric motors produce 2 x 4 kW of shaft power and draw a rated full-load current of 2 x 8.1 Amps. Precision motor engineering and Class F winding insulation ensure continuous thermal endurance and reliable energy conversion across demanding commercial operational cycles.
