Product Overview

For day spas and compact medical centres running half a dozen outlets at once, a factory-assembled Hydro MPC-E 2 CRIE 5-4 package provides a well-matched solution, with two CRIE 5-4 pumps staged against the demand curve. Everything is ordered under the single part number 93637522.

It handles flows up to 340 L/min across the system. The pumps can develop up to 39.9 metres of head when pressure demand increases. A Grundfos GENIECON PANEL on the common base frame provides the system control; the GENIECON UNIT within it holds the exact hydraulic and electrical data of the pumps, so staging and changeover decisions are based on the pumps' actual curves.

The two-pump package arrives as one base-mounted assembly with stainless steel manifolds, two 50 mm manifold connections, valves, sensors and a pressure gauge, plus an 8L diaphragm tank. Electrical supply is 1 x 240 V at 50 Hz with a rated current of 6.7 A. The motors have IP54 protection and the system is rated to 16 bar maximum pressure. Liquid-temperature suitability is 5°C to 60°C.

Typical duty sits with high-rise developments, industry and commercial buildings. It is designed for clean-water pressure boosting where demand varies through the day.

Features

  • GENIECON PANEL control with touch display gives operating staff full staging visibility.
  • A suction-side pressure sensor guards the pumps against dry running.
  • The controller tracks the pressure setpoint with proportional deviation alerts before conditions become faults.
  • Two Grundfos CRIE 5-4 vertical multistage pumps run in parallel on one common base frame.
  • Power use precisely tracks demand, avoiding the waste of fixed-speed alternates.
  • Factory assembled and wet-tested, the set arrives pre-configured for straightforward installation.
  • At P2 each main pump is 1.1 kW, covering the duty without oversizing the frame.
  • Control decisions come from real pump curves, not generic models, via the GENIECON UNIT.
  • Stainless steel manifolds provide two 50 mm manifold connections ready for pipework.
  • Rated for 16 bar system pressure; motors carry IP54 protection.
  • Frequency converters on the motors pair with permanent magnet motors for efficient part-load operation.
  • The set ships with an 8L precharged diaphragm tank for low-flow stability.
  • Pumps are cut in and out according to demand, every running unit turning at the same speed to hold the pressure set point.
