Product Overview

The Hydro MPC-E 2 CRNE 10-9 is a proven fit for mixed-use buildings where a single booster covers retail, offices and apartments, with two Grundfos CRNE 10-9 pumps staged automatically as demand varies. Quote part number 93637845 to have it arrive pre-configured and ready for the plant room.

The system supports flow rates up to 519 L/min. It can develop up to 131 metres of head for dependable pressure boosting. A Grundfos GENIECON PANEL on the common base frame provides the system control; the GENIECON UNIT within it holds the exact hydraulic and electrical data of the pumps, so staging and changeover decisions are based on the pumps' actual curves.

Factory assembled on a common base, the set combines stainless steel pipework, two 50 mm manifold connections, isolation and non-return valves, pressure sensors and a gauge, plus an 8L diaphragm tank. It connects to a 3 x 400 V supply at 50 Hz with a rated current of 20.7 A. Motors are protected to IP54, while maximum system pressure is 16 bar. Liquid-temperature suitability is 5°C to 60°C.

Typical duty sits with water supply networks, irrigation schemes and industry. It is designed for clean-water pressure boosting where demand varies through the day.

Features

  • The controller tracks the pressure setpoint with proportional deviation alerts before conditions become faults.
  • A suction-side pressure sensor guards the pumps against dry running.
  • The touch-panel GENIECON interface shows system status and allows direct setpoint changes on the door.
  • Stainless steel manifolds provide two 50 mm manifold connections ready for pipework.
  • Two Grundfos CRNE 10-9 vertical multistage pumps run in parallel on one common base frame.
  • Each main pump is rated 5.5 kW (P2), so per-pump draw scales down as speed follows demand.
  • Pump staging follows demand automatically: pumps enter at low speed as pressure drops, ramp to equal speed, and exit as flow fades.
  • An integrated 8L diaphragm tank carries small draw-offs and limits pump cycling.
  • The GENIECON UNIT applies the pumps' exact hydraulic and electrical data when making control decisions.
  • Maximum operating pressure of 16 bar with motors sealed to IP54.
  • Slow-speed duty and staged switching keep consumption down through low-demand hours.
  • Factory assembled and wet-tested, the set arrives pre-configured for straightforward installation.
  • Frequency converters on the motors pair with permanent magnet motors for efficient part-load operation.
