Product Overview

Processing plants and multi-storey carparks whose boosters never truly idle rely on booster systems with no tolerance for pressure variation, and the Hydro MPC-E 3 CRE 64-2-2 is engineered for exactly that duty. Quote part number 92801881 to have it arrive pre-configured and ready for the plant room.

Flow capacity reaches 5212 L/min. Up to 60 metres of head is available to maintain pressure as demand changes. A Grundfos CU 352 multi-pump controller in the dedicated cabinet handles setpoint control, cascade management and a full alarm picture across all three pumps.

Factory assembled on a common base, the set combines stainless steel pipework, two 200 mm manifold connections, isolation and non-return valves, pressure sensors and a gauge. It connects to a 3 x 380-415 V supply at 60 Hz. Motors are protected to IP54, while maximum system pressure is 16 bar. Liquid-temperature suitability is 5°C to 60°C. Inlet pressure is rated to 16 bar.

Expect it on water supply systems and commercial complexes sites, plus high-rise buildings duties. It provides clean-water pressure boosting for both new plant rooms and refits.

Features

  • The package is wet-tested and pre-configured, requiring only pipework and power on site.
  • Rated for 16 bar system pressure; motors carry IP54 protection.
  • At P2 each main pump is 36.46 kW, covering the duty without oversizing the frame.
  • Pump staging follows demand automatically: pumps enter at low speed as pressure drops, ramp to equal speed, and exit as flow fades.
  • The controller tracks the pressure setpoint with proportional deviation alerts before conditions become faults.
  • Grundfos CU 352 controller offers setpoint, cascade and alarm management in one cabinet.
  • A suction-side pressure sensor guards the pumps against dry running.
  • Energy draw matches the actual job because speed follows demand, not a fixed curve.
  • The stainless steel manifold assembly is supplied with two 200 mm manifold connections.
  • Each pump is driven by permanent magnet motors with frequency-controlled speed matching demand.
  • Three Grundfos CRE 64-2 pumps share the boosting work in parallel.
