Product Overview

School blocks and council facilities fed by long, pressure-hungry reticulation get a constant-pressure answer in this Grundfos Hydro MPC-E 3 CRNE 15-1 set. The complete system ships factory assembled and tested under part number 93637851.

The system supports flow rates up to 1407 L/min. It can develop up to 19 metres of head for dependable pressure boosting. Control sits with the GENIECON multi-pump controller in its touch-equipped panel, adjusting each pump individually and rotating duty by load, run hours and faults.

For installation, the booster is supplied pre-assembled with stainless steel manifolds, two 100 mm manifold connections, isolation valves, non-return valves, pressure sensors and a gauge, plus an 8L diaphragm tank. It is designed for 3 x 400 V power at 50 Hz with a rated current of 9.3 A, with IP54 motor protection and a 16 bar maximum system pressure. Liquid-temperature suitability is 5°C to 60°C.

Typical duty sits with industry, high-rise developments and commercial buildings. It is designed for clean-water pressure boosting where demand varies through the day.

Features

  • A suction-side pressure sensor guards the pumps against dry running.
  • Power use precisely tracks demand, avoiding the waste of fixed-speed alternates.
  • Control decisions come from real pump curves, not generic models, via the GENIECON UNIT.
  • The stainless steel manifold assembly is supplied with two 100 mm manifold connections.
  • Pump staging follows demand automatically: pumps enter at low speed as pressure drops, ramp to equal speed, and exit as flow fades.
  • Each main pump is rated 1.5 kW (P2), so per-pump draw scales down as speed follows demand.
  • The touch-panel GENIECON interface shows system status and allows direct setpoint changes on the door.
  • Variable speed comes from frequency converters matched to permanent magnet motors, keeping the booster set in its efficient range.
  • Three Grundfos CRNE 15-1 vertical multistage pumps run in parallel on one common base frame.
  • An integrated 8L diaphragm tank carries small draw-offs and limits pump cycling.
  • Rated for 16 bar system pressure; motors carry IP54 protection.
  • The package is wet-tested and pre-configured, requiring only pipework and power on site.
  • Both constant-pressure and proportional-pressure modes are available, so plant rooms can tune response to pipework.
