Product Overview

Gymnasiums, aquatic centres and student housing running wall-to-wall showers rely on booster systems with no tolerance for pressure variation, and the Hydro Multi-E 2 CRE 10-2 is engineered for exactly that duty. Everything is ordered under the single part number 99614306.

It handles flows up to 509 L/min across the system. The pumps can develop up to 28 metres of head when pressure demand increases. There is no separate central controller to purchase: Multi-Master control resides within the pumps, either unit can assume the controlling role, and a fault is handed over cleanly without interrupting supply.

Factory assembled on a common base, the set combines stainless steel pipework, two 50 mm manifold connections, isolation and non-return valves, pressure sensors and a gauge, plus a 24L diaphragm tank. It connects to a 3 x 380-415 V supply at 50 / 60 Hz with a rated current of 4.74 A. Motors are protected to IP54, while maximum system pressure is 10 bar. Liquid-temperature suitability is 5°C to 60°C. Inlet pressure is rated to 10 bar.

Expect it on high-rise apartments and schools and universities sites, plus hospitals duties. It provides clean-water pressure boosting for both new plant rooms and refits.

Features

  • At P2 each main pump is 1.1 kW, covering the duty without oversizing the frame.
  • No external controller required: Multi-Master redundancy lets either pump assume the controlling role.
  • Frequency converters on the motors pair with IE5 permanent magnet motors for efficient part-load operation.
  • Pump staging follows demand automatically: pumps enter at low speed as pressure drops, ramp to equal speed, and exit as flow fades.
  • Slow-speed duty and staged switching keep consumption down through low-demand hours.
  • An integrated 24L diaphragm tank carries small draw-offs and limits pump cycling.
  • Maximum operating pressure of 10 bar with motors sealed to IP54.
  • Dry-running protection is built into the control, protecting the pumps if the suction supply is interrupted.
  • Both constant-pressure and proportional-pressure modes are available, so plant rooms can tune response to pipework.
  • Two Grundfos CRE 10-2 vertical multistage pumps run in parallel on one common base frame.
  • The package is wet-tested and pre-configured, requiring only pipework and power on site.
  • Stainless steel manifolds provide two 50 mm manifold connections ready for pipework.
  • Setup and monitoring run through the Grundfos GO app rather than a panel visit.
