Product Overview

The Hydro Multi-E 2 CRE 15-3 is a proven fit for business parks adding tenancies faster than their mains can serve, with two Grundfos CRE 15-3 pumps staged automatically as demand varies. The complete system ships factory assembled and tested under part number 99614450.

Flow capacity reaches 853 L/min. Up to 59 metres of head is available to maintain pressure as demand changes. Because every pump carries its own frequency converter and the Multi-Master software elects the controlling pump itself, losing a control unit or pressure sensor means seamless handover rather than a shutdown.

The two-pump package arrives as one base-mounted assembly with stainless steel manifolds, two 80 mm manifold connections, valves, sensors and a pressure gauge, plus a 24L diaphragm tank. Electrical supply is 3 x 380-415 V at 50 / 60 Hz with a rated current of 12.4 A. The motors have IP54 protection and the system is rated to 10 bar maximum pressure. Liquid-temperature suitability is 5°C to 60°C. Inlet pressure is rated to 10 bar.

Typical duty sits with industrial process supply, aged-care complexes and mixed-use commercial buildings. It is designed for clean-water pressure boosting where demand varies through the day.

Features

  • Maximum operating pressure of 10 bar with motors sealed to IP54.
  • The set ships with an 24L precharged diaphragm tank for low-flow stability.
  • Variable speed comes from frequency converters matched to IE5 permanent magnet motors, keeping the booster set in its efficient range.
  • Cascade logic brings pumps on-line and off-line against changing demand without manual intervention.
  • Constant pressure control holds the delivered pressure flat while proportional mode lets setpoints flex with demand.
  • Multi-Master redundancy means either pump can act as controller, with seamless changeover on fault.
  • Factory assembled and wet-tested, the set arrives pre-configured for straightforward installation.
  • Two Grundfos CRE 15-3 pumps share the boosting work in parallel.
  • Stainless steel manifolds provide two 80 mm manifold connections ready for pipework.
  • Setup and monitoring run through the Grundfos GO app rather than a panel visit.
  • Each main pump is rated 3 kW (P2), so per-pump draw scales down as speed follows demand.
  • Power use precisely tracks demand, avoiding the waste of fixed-speed alternates.
  • The system protects its pumps against dry running if the incoming supply is lost.
