Product Overview

The Hydro Multi-E 2 CRE64-3-2 is a proven fit for apartment towers, hotel plant rooms and school wings with real morning demand spikes, with two Grundfos CRE 64-3 pumps staged automatically as demand varies. Quote part number 93320270 to have it arrive pre-configured and ready for the plant room.

It handles flows up to 3407 L/min across the system. The pumps can develop up to 101 metres of head when pressure demand increases. There is no separate central controller to purchase: Multi-Master control resides within the pumps, either unit can assume the controlling role, and a fault is handed over cleanly without interrupting supply.

The two-pump package arrives as one base-mounted assembly with stainless steel manifolds, two 150 mm manifold connections, valves, sensors and a pressure gauge, plus a 24L diaphragm tank. Electrical supply is 3 x 380-415 V at 50 / 60 Hz with a rated current of 75.4 A. The motors have IP54 protection and the system is rated to 16 bar maximum pressure. Liquid-temperature suitability is 5°C to 60°C. Inlet pressure is rated to 16 bar.

Its home ground covers industrial process supply, mixed-use commercial buildings and high-rise apartments. The variable-speed system suits clean-water boosting duties with changing demand.

Features

  • Integrated Grundfos GO compatibility supports configuration, logging and diagnostics from a phone.
  • Two Grundfos CRE 64-3 pumps share the boosting work in parallel.
  • Power use precisely tracks demand, avoiding the waste of fixed-speed alternates.
  • Constant pressure control holds the delivered pressure flat while proportional mode lets setpoints flex with demand.
  • The stainless steel manifold assembly is supplied with two 150 mm manifold connections.
  • The system protects its pumps against dry running if the incoming supply is lost.
  • Variable speed comes from frequency converters matched to IE5 permanent magnet motors, keeping the booster set in its efficient range.
  • No external controller required: Multi-Master redundancy lets either pump assume the controlling role.
  • The package is wet-tested and pre-configured, requiring only pipework and power on site.
  • Rated 22 kW (P2) on every main pump in the frame.
  • An integrated 24L diaphragm tank carries small draw-offs and limits pump cycling.
  • Maximum operating pressure of 16 bar with motors sealed to IP54.
  • Pump staging follows demand automatically: pumps enter at low speed as pressure drops, ramp to equal speed, and exit as flow fades.
