Product Overview

Day spas and compact medical centres running half a dozen outlets at once rely on booster systems with no tolerance for pressure variation, and the Hydro Multi-E 2 CRNE 3-5 is engineered for exactly that duty. One factory-tested package replaces a shelf of loose components; order part number 99752140 to put it on site.

The system supports flow rates up to 166 L/min. It can develop up to 46 metres of head for dependable pressure boosting. There is no separate central controller to purchase: Multi-Master control resides within the pumps, either unit can assume the controlling role, and a fault is handed over cleanly without interrupting supply.

The two-pump package arrives as one base-mounted assembly with stainless steel manifolds, two 50 mm manifold connections, valves, sensors and a pressure gauge, plus a 24L diaphragm tank. Electrical supply is 3 x 380-415 V at 50 / 60 Hz with a rated current of 2.94 A. The motors have IP55 protection and the system is rated to 10 bar maximum pressure. Liquid-temperature suitability is 5°C to 60°C. Inlet pressure is rated to 10 bar.

Applications include aged-care complexes, mixed-use commercial buildings and schools and universities. The control flexibility suits clean-water boosting in new installations and upgrades.

Features

  • Integrated Grundfos GO compatibility supports configuration, logging and diagnostics from a phone.
  • Rated for 10 bar system pressure; motors carry IP55 protection.
  • Both constant-pressure and proportional-pressure modes are available, so plant rooms can tune response to pipework.
  • Power use precisely tracks demand, avoiding the waste of fixed-speed alternates.
  • Stainless steel manifolds provide two 50 mm manifold connections ready for pipework.
  • Each pump is driven by IE5 permanent magnet motors with frequency-controlled speed matching demand.
  • At P2 each main pump is 0.55 kW, covering the duty without oversizing the frame.
  • Factory assembled and wet-tested, the set arrives pre-configured for straightforward installation.
  • No external controller required: Multi-Master redundancy lets either pump assume the controlling role.
  • Two Grundfos CRNE 3-5 pumps share the boosting work in parallel.
  • Pumps are cut in and out according to demand, every running unit turning at the same speed to hold the pressure set point.
  • An integrated 24L diaphragm tank carries small draw-offs and limits pump cycling.
  • The system protects its pumps against dry running if the incoming supply is lost.
