Product Overview
In residential towers and medium commercial sites outgrowing their mains pressure, the simultaneous demand of the morning peak places heavy loads on the supply; the Hydro Multi-E 3 CRE 20-4 answers with three CRE 20-4 pumps operating in parallel. Specify part number 99614477 and the whole set lands tested, assembled and ready for pipework.
The system supports flow rates up to 1603 L/min. It can develop up to 82 metres of head for dependable pressure boosting. There is no separate central controller to purchase: Multi-Master control resides within the pumps, either unit can assume the controlling role, and a fault is handed over cleanly without interrupting supply.
For installation, the booster is supplied pre-assembled with stainless steel manifolds, two 100 mm manifold connections, isolation valves, non-return valves, pressure sensors and a gauge, plus a 24L diaphragm tank. It is designed for 3 x 380-415 V power at 50 / 60 Hz with a rated current of 32.9 A, with IP54 motor protection and a 10 bar maximum system pressure. Liquid-temperature suitability is 5°C to 60°C. Inlet pressure is rated to 10 bar.
Applications include hotel plant rooms, schools and universities and high-rise apartments. The control flexibility suits clean-water boosting in new installations and upgrades.
Features
- Pump staging follows demand automatically: pumps enter at low speed as pressure drops, ramp to equal speed, and exit as flow fades.
- Frequency converters on the motors pair with IE5 permanent magnet motors for efficient part-load operation.
- Maximum operating pressure of 10 bar with motors sealed to IP54.
- Setup and monitoring run through the Grundfos GO app rather than a panel visit.
- Multi-Master redundancy means either pump can act as controller, with seamless changeover on fault.
- Three Grundfos CRE 20-4 pumps share the boosting work in parallel.
- Dry-running protection is built into the control, protecting the pumps if the suction supply is interrupted.
- At P2 each main pump is 5.5 kW, covering the duty without oversizing the frame.
- The set ships with an 24L precharged diaphragm tank for low-flow stability.
- Factory assembled and wet-tested, the set arrives pre-configured for straightforward installation.
- Stainless steel manifolds provide two 100 mm manifold connections ready for pipework.
- Constant pressure control holds the delivered pressure flat while proportional mode lets setpoints flex with demand.
- Slow-speed duty and staged switching keep consumption down through low-demand hours.
