Product Overview
Holiday units and boutique apartment blocks juggling showers at the morning peak get a constant-pressure answer in this Grundfos Hydro Multi-E 3 CRE 5-2 set. One factory-tested package replaces a shelf of loose components; order part number 99614325 to put it on site.
The system supports flow rates up to 504 L/min. It can develop up to 19 metres of head for dependable pressure boosting. There is no separate central controller to purchase: Multi-Master control resides within the pumps, either unit can assume the controlling role, and a fault is handed over cleanly without interrupting supply.
Factory assembled on a common base, the set combines stainless steel pipework, two 50 mm manifold connections, isolation and non-return valves, pressure sensors and a gauge, plus a 24L diaphragm tank. It connects to a 3 x 380-415 V supply at 50 / 60 Hz with a rated current of 4.41 A. Motors are protected to IP54, while maximum system pressure is 10 bar. Liquid-temperature suitability is 5°C to 60°C. Inlet pressure is rated to 10 bar.
Applications include schools and universities, hospitals and industrial process supply. The control flexibility suits clean-water boosting in new installations and upgrades.
Features
- Maximum operating pressure of 10 bar with motors sealed to IP54.
- Slow-speed duty and staged switching keep consumption down through low-demand hours.
- The package is wet-tested and pre-configured, requiring only pipework and power on site.
- Multi-Master redundancy means either pump can act as controller, with seamless changeover on fault.
- The stainless steel manifold assembly is supplied with two 50 mm manifold connections.
- An integrated 24L diaphragm tank carries small draw-offs and limits pump cycling.
- Each pump is driven by IE5 permanent magnet motors with frequency-controlled speed matching demand.
- Cascade logic brings pumps on-line and off-line against changing demand without manual intervention.
- Rated 0.55 kW (P2) on every main pump in the frame.
- The controller tracks the pressure setpoint with proportional deviation alerts before conditions become faults.
- Dry-running protection is built into the control, protecting the pumps if the suction supply is interrupted.
- Setup and monitoring run through the Grundfos GO app rather than a panel visit.
- Three Grundfos CRE 5-2 pumps share the boosting work in parallel.

What fluid transfer capacity does this parallel centrifugal booster unit provide across the mains?
Operating across its factory curve, the Grundfos Hydro Multi-E 3 CRE 5-2 U2 A-A-I-I-D discharges up to 504 L/min of clean water to maintain consistent line pressure during peak demand cycles.
What variable speed electric motor units power the parallel multistage pumps on this package?
Each centrifugal stage of the Hydro Multi-E 3 CRE 5-2 is driven by a 0.55 kW IE5 permanent-magnet MGE electric motor running on 3 x 380-415 V power, utilizing built-in variable speed drives to adjust output dynamically.
What total dynamic head and operating pressure capability does this booster set provide?
Elevating water across multi-level pipework, the Hydro-Multi-E-3-CRE-5-2 maintains up to 19 m total dynamic head with an overall 10 bar maximum operating limit.
How are the inlet and outlet manifolds arranged to allow independent pump maintenance?
Plumbed for rapid site installation, the Hydro Multi E 3 CRE 5 2 includes R 2 stainless steel headers equipped with dedicated isolating valves, check valves, and pressure transmitters.
Under what manufacturer warranty terms is this complete booster assembly supplied?
