Product Overview

Building HVAC water circuits and secondary circulation skids deploy the Grundfos NB 50-315/344 centrifugal pump. Coupled to a 11 kW motor drive, fluid enters through an axial DN 65 suction port and exits through a radial DN 50 discharge flange.

Operational discharge rate reaches approx. 841 L/Min liquid flow while developing approx. 44.2 m maximum head. Constructed with an EN-GJL-250 cast iron volute protected by cataphoretic electrocoating, internal hydraulics feature a stainless steel impeller and BQQE mechanical shaft seal. Net weight is 229 kg.

Connected across a 415 V three-phase circuit, the 11 kW motor draws 22.3 Amps under operating conditions. Working tolerances accommodate fluid temperatures spanning -25°C to 120°C at pressures reaching 16 bar. Flanged connections feature DN 65 inlet and DN 50 outlet dimensions.

Motor casing engineering satisfies IP55 enclosure requirements with Class F thermal insulation. Because built-in thermal protection is not included, external motor overload protection must be supplied. Maintenance is streamlined via a back-pull-out arrangement allowing rotating element removal while the casing remains connected to piping.

Features

  • Cast iron volute casing with integral mounting feet absorbs hydraulic forces and pipework stresses.
  • Replaceable wear rings retain correct internal hydraulic clearances over long operating periods.
  • Solid stub shaft configuration supported by deep groove ball bearings absorbs axial thrust loads.
  • Standardized EN1092-2 PN16 flange dimensions match standard commercial and district pipe manifolds.
  • High-efficiency IEC electric drive motor maximum flow of S1 continuous operation in ambient conditions up to 40°C.
  • Back-pull-out construction allows drive and impeller removal without disconnecting suction or discharge lines.
  • Precision balanced rotor and runner assemblies minimize operating vibration across all pump speeds.
