Product Overview
Intended for permanent submerged installation in municipal lift stations, the Grundfos SL.56H.240.4.50D.150 is designed for high-head sewage collection applications. This cast iron submersible pump holds CE EN12050-1 approval with ROHS and WEEE approvals. It is suitable for handling raw effluents and untreated wastewater in centralized collection sumps.
The unit features a 24 kW 4-pole motor running at 1490 rpm on a 3 x 415 V supply with a rated current of 56 Amps. It achieves a maximum head up to 43 m and a maximum flow up to 9600 L/min. The motor is rated for continuous S1 submerged duty, utilizing the surrounding wastewater for thermal management during prolonged operation cycles.
The hydraulic system uses an Open S-tube impeller with a 351 mm actual diameter for solids handling. The nominal duty head is 24.9 m. The hydraulic design features a DN 200 inlet and a DN 150 (6") outlet, supporting high-volume wastewater transfer while reducing the risk of clogging in municipal sewage collection systems.
Built with an EN-GJL-250 cast iron pump housing and motor casing, the pump features double mechanical shaft seals and integrated PTO sensors for motor protection and monitoring. It is supplied with a 10-metre S1BC4N8-F EMC power cable and features an IP68 enclosure suitable for installation depths up to 30 metres.

Warranty & Returns
All products supplied by Foundation Pumps are covered by a minimum 12-month warranty unless otherwise stated. Some brands may offer longer manufacturer warranties. Warranty covers manufacturing defects, faulty materials and workmanship under normal use.
- Products must be installed correctly and in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions.
- Warranty does not cover incorrect installation, misuse, dry running, normal wear and tear, unauthorised repairs or damage caused by external factors.
- Proof of purchase, photos, videos and installation details may be requested when assessing a warranty claim.
- The customer is responsible for returning the product to Foundation Pumps or the nominated service centre unless otherwise agreed.
- Removal, reinstallation, labour and associated site costs are generally the customer’s responsibility unless required under Australian Consumer Law.
- Change-of-mind returns may be accepted within 30 days provided the product is unused, uninstalled and returned in its original packaging.
- Customers are responsible for return freight costs for change-of-mind returns.
- Restocking fees may apply to special-order, bulky or non-stocked products.
- Used, installed or specially ordered products may not be eligible for change-of-mind returns.
- If a product arrives damaged or faulty, please contact Foundation Pumps as soon as possible so we can assist with the appropriate repair, replacement or refund.
