The pump is designed for easy installation and maintenance. It includes 1½″ × 2″ union connections for plumbing compatibility and a clear strainer cover with quarter-turn locking mechanism, allowing quick access to the basket for cleaning. The pump housing can also be pressure-tested up to 50 psi, providing reliable operation in standard pool filtration systems.
The MaxFlo XL design aligns with previous Hayward MaxFlo models, enabling straightforward replacement or retrofit installations. With its compact footprint and self-priming capability, it is widely used for residential pool circulation, filtration systems and spa installations.
