Product Overview
When mains pressure falls short of household demands, the Lowara 3HM02P-PT8 delivers a complete pressure-boosting solution in a compact package. This system pairs a reliable multistage pump with an 8-litre APT pressure vessel, maintaining stable water pressure for domestic distribution, garden irrigation, and general water transfer where installation space is at a premium.
The pump features an AISI 304 stainless steel body with Noryl™ impellers. It produces a maximum head of approximately 21.5 metres and a maximum flow rate of 70 litres per minute. The 0.5 kW motor operates on a 220-240 V single-phase supply and draws 2.55 Amps at rated load. Both suction and discharge ports are threaded Rp 25 mm. The pump is rated for clean liquids up to 60°C.
The 8-litre APT pressure vessel stores pressurised water, which reduces the frequency of pump starts during periods of low demand. The mechanical seal is a ceramic, carbon, and EPDM assembly. The motor enclosure is rated IP55, and the winding insulation is Class F. Automatic reset thermal overload protection is incorporated as standard.
Installation requires a flat, level surface in a frost-protected area with adequate ventilation. The terminal junction box is pre-wired to simplify electrical connection. The pump is certified for drinking water use under WRAS and ACS. Its compact footprint makes it suitable for equipment rooms and domestic utility spaces where space is limited.

What electrical voltage and motor power specifications are required to operate this booster unit?
Powering the 3HM02P-PT8 requires a 0.5 kW motor running on a 220–240 V, 50 Hz, single-phase power supply, drawing a nominal 2.55 A and featuring an IP55 weatherproof enclosure with automatic reset thermal overload protection.
Why is an expansion tank integrated into this booster pump and where should it be installed?
System buffer capacity in the 3HM02P-PT-8 is managed by an integrated 8-litre APT pressure vessel, which dampens line fluctuations, minimizes frequent motor starts during low demand, and supports surface floor mounting in a dry, ventilated location.
What maximum dynamic head pressure does this multistage booster pump generate?
Under standard residential boosting duties, the 3HM 02P PT8 develops a maximum dynamic head of approximately 21.5 m, ensuring robust tap pressure across multi-storey fixtures.
What plumbing connection sizes are on the ports and what peak flow rate is delivered?
Plumbing connections attach through standard Rp 25 mm (1") discharge and Rp 25 mm (1") suction, allowing the 3HM_02P_PT8 to deliver a peak flow of approximately 70 L/Min.
What construction materials are utilized in this booster pump and is it certified for drinking water?
Constructed with AISI 304 stainless steel pump casing, Technopolymer impellers, and ceramic, carbon, and EPDM mechanical seal, the 3HM02P-PT8 is certified for drinking water applications under WRAS and ACS standards, delivering clean liquids up to 60°C.
