Product Overview
The Lowara 2GS22 is a submersible borehole wet end within the e-GS range, meeting ErP directives with MEI values above 0.40. Pairing this pump end with a compatible 2.2 kW (2.93 HP) electric motor is required for full operation. Standard well installation is vertical, although horizontal mounting is available with motor-dependent limits.
The external sleeve is fabricated from stainless steel to limit water corrosion. Internally, a floating impeller stack incorporates 40 stages made of PC/PPO + PS polymer components. This multi-stage setup allows the handling of suspended sand up to a maximum concentration of 150 grams per cubic meter.
When coupled with a 2.2 kW motor (drawing 14.4 Amps on 240 V single-phase), the complete assembly achieves a maximum head of 238.0 m. The pump end delivers a maximum flow of 50 L/Min via an Rp 1-1/4" (32 mm) outlet. Volumetric parameters are validated under official testing guidelines.
The pump end is specified for water temperatures up to 35°C during service. Submersion limit is 150 meters with 4OS motors, or up to 300 meters with L4C motor options. Horizontal operation is possible using 4OS motors up to 2.2 kW and L4C motors up to 7.5 kW. The multi-stage design requires proper coupling with standard motors to maintain correct performance under standard system heads.

Is a non-return valve built into the discharge head and does it support horizontal setups?
Featuring an integrated stainless-steel non-return valve in the discharge head, the 2GS22 halts backflow and allows horizontal installation at a minimum recommended 3° incline with the motor lowest and a cooling shroud.
Can this borehole extraction pump overcome high vertical pipe resistance from deep aquifers?
Submersible vertical water transfer is conducted by the 2GS-22, which provides a peak dynamic head of approximately 238.0 m from deep well columns.
Which diameter delivery connection is featured and how many liters does it discharge?
Plumbing attaches through the top 32 mm (Rp 1-1/4") delivery port, enabling the 2 GS 22 to produce a peak flow of approximately 50 L/Min within standard 4-inch (100 mm) or larger borehole casings.
Is this borehole pumping unit protected against corrosion from mineral-rich aquifers?
Borehole corrosion protection is sustained by stainless-steel with floating impellers in the 2_GS_22, which accommodates gritty groundwater containing sand up to 150 g/m³.
What are the power requirements and operating voltage specifications for this motor?
Driving the hydraulics of the 2GS22 involves coupling to a 2.2 kW motor on 220–240 V, 50 Hz, single-phase (with 380–415 V, 50 Hz, three-phase motor support).
