Product Overview

Forming the hydraulic wet end of a submersible pump system, the Lowara 4GS15 is a redesigned 4-inch e-GS borehole component. This model is specified for coupling with a 1.5 kW (2.0 HP) electric motor. Well installation allows vertical placement or horizontal mounting inside tanks.

A stainless steel casing houses the multi-stage hydraulics, protecting the internal floating stack. This model is equipped with 19 floating impellers made of wear-resistant polymer. The system handles suspended sand particles up to a maximum of 150 grams per cubic meter.

Upon coupling this pump end to its specified 1.5 kW motor (rated for 10.5 Amps on 240 V single-phase power), the combined unit reaches a maximum head of 114.0 m. It delivers a maximum flow of 90 L/Min through a Rp 1-1/4" (32 mm) port. High volumetric delivery is maintained under load.

Continuous service is possible in liquid temperatures reaching up to a maximum of 35°C. The assembly is specified for submergence depths up to 150 meters with a 4OS motor or up to 300 meters with an L4C motor. Horizontal deployment is possible within motor limits. The multi-stage design requires proper coupling with standard motors to maintain correct performance under standard system heads.

FEATURES

  • Features 19 multi-stage floating impellers to drastically limit wear and abrasion from suspended sand particles.
  • Constructed with a sturdy stainless steel outer sleeve to limit corrosion and protect internal hydraulic components.
  • Includes an integrated stainless steel strainer to filter out oversized particles and prevent debris entry.
  • Features a hexagonal pump shaft design that distributes mechanical torque without vulnerable keyed joints.
  • The upper and lower brackets are made of precision-cast stainless steel to establish a sturdy motor coupling.
  • ErP/Ecodesign compliant in accordance with strict European Minimum Efficiency Index of 0.40 or higher.
  • Suitable for continuous submerged operations in liquid temperatures reaching up to a maximum of 35°C.

What maximum vertical lift can this submersible well pumping unit sustain under load?

Generating high elevation discharge pressure, the 4GS15 achieves a maximum dynamic head of approximately 114.0 m for deep well groundwater extraction.

Which thread size fits the top delivery port and what flow rate does it support?

Riser lines thread into the top 32 mm (Rp 1-1/4") discharge port, with the 4GS-15 providing a peak flow rate of approximately 90 L/Min when operating in standard 4-inch (100 mm) or larger borehole casings.

How does this submersible bore unit maintain integrity in corrosive groundwater?

Protection against waterborne corrosive agents is delivered by stainless-steel with floating impellers components, allowing the 4 GS 15 to endure sand up to 150 g/m³.

Which power supply and voltage ratings are required for this deep borehole motor?

Powering the 4_GS_15 necessitates a 1.5 kW motor on a 220–240 V, 50 Hz, single-phase power supply (with 380–415 V, 50 Hz, three-phase motor options supported).

Is an internal non-return valve fitted in the discharge and can this unit lie horizontally?

Protection against backflow in the 4GS15 is provided by an integrated stainless-steel non-return valve in the delivery head, with horizontal mounting supported at a minimum recommended 3° incline with the motor lowest and a cooling sleeve.
