Product Overview

For borehole systems requiring a little more hydraulic lift without moving into the higher-stage configurations, the 4ZN616/4 provides a four-stage radial flow pump end with a maximum flow of 367 L/Min. Its 48-metre maximum head makes it suitable for groundwater supply applications requiring dependable vertical lift.

Constructed in AISI 316 stainless steel, the ZN6 pump end uses AISI 316L stainless steel for its impellers and diffusers, with removable wear rings incorporated into the hydraulic stages. The rotating shaft is Duplex stainless steel UNS S 31803 and the replaceable coupling is Duplex stainless steel UNS S 32304. The pump end is specified for water containing suspended sand up to 100 g/m³.

With a C4S submersible motor, operation is supported up to 60°C. Performance is specified to EN ISO 9906 Grade 3B, with discharge through the Rp 2 1/2– (65 mm) threaded outlet. A standard 4-inch NEMA motor connection is provided, and maximum immersion depth is 300 metres when matched with a C4S motor.

The microcast ASTM CF-8M (AISI 316 cast) discharge head and lower support provide the structural discharge arrangement. An integrated stainless steel non-return valve assists with backflow control, while safety-hook holes support borehole installation.

FEATURES

  • Four radial stages provide increased lift over the lower-stage configuration.
  • AISI 316L impellers and diffusers provide the specified stainless-steel hydraulic construction.
  • Removable wear rings allow hydraulic clearances to be serviced.
  • The Duplex UNS S 31803 shaft forms the rotating shaft assembly.
  • The replaceable Duplex UNS S 32304 coupling provides the specified connection component.
  • AISI 316L tie rods and cable guard extend the stainless-steel construction.
  • The discharge assembly includes the microcast head, lower support and stainless steel non-return valve.

* Submersible motor sold separately - requires coupling and assembly

Which operating voltage and motor power rating are required to run this borehole unit?

Running the 4ZN616/4 assembly relies on a 4-inch NEMA C4S motor rated at 3 kW powered by 380–415 V, 50 Hz, three-phase drawing 7.64 A, handling fluids up to 60°C and submersion up to 300 meters.

Is an internal check valve fitted to the discharge port and can this unit be laid horizontally?

Fluid column stability during stops is preserved by an integrated stainless steel non-return valve in the 4ZN616-4, while horizontal operation is supported at a minimum recommended 3° incline with the motor lowest.

Can this submersible bore pump achieve reliable vertical elevation from deep wells?

Under challenging vertical extraction duties, the 4 ZN 616 4 develops a maximum dynamic head of approximately 48.9 m, maintaining steady discharge pressure.

What connection size attaches to the top delivery port and what flow is achieved?

Riser pipes join to the top Rp 2 1/2" (65 mm) delivery connection, allowing the 4_ZN_616_4 to pump up to a peak flow rate of approximately 367 L/Min in standard 6-inch borehole installations.

What materials prevent abrasive wear and corrosion inside this borehole pumping unit?

Designed to resist corrosive borehole elements, the 4ZN616/4 combines AISI 316 stainless steel pump end, AISI 316L stainless steel impellers and diffusers with removable wear rings, Duplex UNS S 31803 shaft, and Duplex UNS S 32304 coupling with high sand passage capacity up to 100 g/m³.
