Product Overview

As a standalone hydraulic wet end, the Lowara 4ZN660/3 represents a technical solution within the Z6 Series range of submersible borehole pumps. Operating this wet end requires secure coupling with a compatible 5.5 kW electric motor of the appropriate power rating. Designed for secure installation inside standard 6-inch deep wells, the assembly operates inside standard casings. It is suitable for groundwater lowering and dewatering systems, municipal supply lines, and agricultural distribution projects.

To support long-term physical stability during operation, the structural sleeve and discharge head are engineered from cast AISI 316 Stainless Steel. The multi-stage centrifugal hydraulic assembly consists of 3 stages, each incorporating an AISI 316L stainless steel radial impeller. The integrated radial impellers are designed to limit abrasive wear from sand particles, supporting water containing up to 100 g/m³ of suspended sand.

Once paired with its designated 5.5 kW electric motor (nominal current rating of 13.2 Amps), the coupled assembly achieves up to 31 m maximum head. This multi-stage hydraulic wet end generates a maximum flow of 1,300 L/Min through its Rp 80 mm threaded connection. All performance parameters are in accordance with manufacturer technical specifications.

The pump has a maximum external diameter of 142 mm for installation inside standard 6-inch borehole wells. Maximum pump immersion depth is 300 m when used with C4S motors and 350 m when used with L6W motors. The lower support bracket incorporates a standard 4" NEMA-compliant mount for simple mechanical motor integration. Safe coupling requires correct mechanical alignment of the pump shaft and the motor shaft during mechanical coupling.

Which motor kilowatt power and electrical supply voltage are required for this unit?

Supplying power to the 4ZN660/3 requires coupling a 4-inch NEMA C4S motor rated at 5.5 kW operating on 380–415 V, 50 Hz, three-phase with a rated draw of 13.2 A, capable of operating up to 60°C and submerged up to 300 meters.

Is a non-return valve integrated into the outlet and can this pump operate horizontally?

The microcast discharge assembly of the 4ZN660-3 houses an integrated stainless steel non-return valve, supporting horizontal mounting at a minimum recommended 3° incline with the motor in the lowest position.

Is this submersible bore unit engineered to lift water up from deep subterranean reservoirs?

Overcoming high elevation resistance in deep wells, the 4 ZN 660 3 delivers a maximum dynamic head rating of approximately 31 m to push water from deep well shafts.

Which connection size is on the pump head and what maximum delivery rate is achieved?

The top outlet incorporates a Rp 3" (80 mm) threaded connection, with the 4_ZN_660_3 supplying a peak flow volume of approximately 1300 L/Min in standard 6-inch borehole installations.

Is this submersible borehole pump built with corrosion-resistant stainless components?

Protecting against aggressive borehole minerals, the 4ZN660/3 incorporates AISI 316 stainless steel pump end, AISI 316L stainless steel impellers and diffusers with removable wear rings, Duplex UNS S 31803 shaft, and Duplex UNS S 32304 coupling, providing wear resistance against sand up to 100 g/m³.
