Product Overview

Deep borehole extraction requiring greater hydraulic lift can be handled by the ZN616/17, a seventeen-stage radial flow pump end with a maximum head of 209 metres. Despite the increased stage count, the wet end retains a maximum flow of 367 L/Min.

The ZN6 construction uses AISI 316 stainless steel, with AISI 316L impellers and diffusers incorporating removable wear rings. The shaft is Duplex stainless steel UNS S 31803 and the replaceable coupling is Duplex stainless steel UNS S 32304. Suspended sand concentrations up to 100 g/m³ are permitted.

The standard L6W motor configuration limits water temperature to 35°C. Performance is specified to EN ISO 9906 Grade 3B, with the Rp 2 1/2– (65 mm) threaded connection providing discharge. The standard 6-inch NEMA motor connection is used, and maximum immersion is 350 metres with an L6W motor.

The microcast ASTM CF-8M (AISI 316 cast) discharge head and lower support include the integrated stainless steel non-return valve. Safety-hook holes are provided for borehole lowering and securing.

FEATURES

  • Seventeen radial stages provide the lift required for deep borehole extraction.
  • Removable wear rings allow hydraulic clearances to be maintained through servicing.
  • AISI 316L impellers and diffusers provide the specified hydraulic construction.
  • The Duplex UNS S 31803 shaft supports the rotating assembly.
  • The replaceable Duplex UNS S 32304 coupling forms part of the motor connection.
  • AISI 316L tie rods and cable guard support the external pump-end structure.
  • The microcast discharge arrangement incorporates the integrated non-return valve.

* Submersible motor sold separately - requires coupling and assembly

Can this deep well pump manage substantial vertical lifting depths from deep water reservoirs?

Deep borehole water transfer relies on the ZN616/17, which produces a maximum dynamic head of approximately 209.7 m for raising water up long vertical pipelines.

What size discharge pipe connection is required and what is the maximum delivery flow?

Water is discharged through a standard Rp 2 1/2" (65 mm) port connection, with the ZN616-17 attaining a peak volumetric output of approximately 367 L/Min inside standard 6-inch borehole installations.

What materials are used to ensure this borehole pump survives aggressive groundwater?

Corrosion resistance in demanding well chemistry is delivered by AISI 316 stainless steel pump end, AISI 316L stainless steel impellers and diffusers with removable wear rings, Duplex UNS S 31803 shaft, and Duplex UNS S 32304 coupling in the ZN 616 17, ensuring reliable service with sand tolerance up to 100 g/m³.

Which power supply and operating voltage are specified for this submersible unit?

Supplying power to the ZN_616_17 requires coupling a 6-inch NEMA L6W motor rated at 13 kW operating on 380–415 V, 50 Hz, three-phase with a rated draw of 28.1 A, capable of operating up to 35°C and submerged up to 350 meters.

Is an internal check valve provided in the pump head and does it allow angled mounting?

Limiting reverse flow during pump shutdown, the ZN616/17 features an integrated stainless steel non-return valve in the discharge head and supports horizontal mounting at a minimum recommended 3° incline with the motor lowest.
