Product Overview

Meeting the requirements of standard deep-well installations, the Lowara ZN622/18 represents a standalone pump end in the Z6 Series. It is essential to pair this standalone pump end with a compatible 18.5 kW electric motor for deep-well water supply. The physical structure is designed for standard vertical placement inside standard 6-inch casings. It is suitable for water transfer and pressure boosting networks and water distribution setups.

To support long-term physical stability during operation, the structural sleeve and discharge head are engineered from cast AISI 316 Stainless Steel. The multi-stage centrifugal hydraulic assembly consists of 18 stages, each incorporating an AISI 316L stainless steel radial impeller. The integrated radial impellers are designed to limit abrasive wear from sand particles, supporting water containing up to 100 g/m³ of suspended sand.

Once paired with its designated 18.5 kW electric motor (nominal current rating of 39.3 Amps), the coupled assembly achieves up to 241 m maximum head. This multi-stage hydraulic wet end generates a maximum flow of 500 L/Min through its Rp 65 mm threaded connection. All performance parameters are in accordance with manufacturer technical specifications.

The pump has a maximum external diameter of 142 mm for installation inside standard 6-inch borehole wells. Maximum pump immersion depth is 300 m when used with C4S motors and 350 m when used with L6W motors. The lower support bracket incorporates a standard 6" NEMA-compliant mount for simple mechanical motor integration. Safe coupling requires correct mechanical alignment of the pump shaft and the motor shaft during mechanical coupling.

What electrical voltage and kilowatt power are needed to power this deep well pump?

Proper motor operation on the ZN622/18 requires a 6-inch NEMA L6W unit of 18.5 kW powered by 380–415 V, 50 Hz, three-phase at a nominal current of 39.3 A.

Does this borehole unit feature an integrated check valve and can it be angled horizontally?

The integrated stainless steel non-return valve in the ZN622-18 prevents fluid return when the motor stops, and horizontal placement is supported at a minimum recommended 3° incline with the motor positioned lowest.

How deep can this submersible pump reach while reliably lifting water up to storage tanks?

Elevating water from subterranean reservoirs, the ZN 622 18 achieves a maximum dynamic head capability of approximately 241 m with high hydraulic efficiency.

What size pipe connects to the pump outlet head and what flow rate can be expected?

Riser piping couples to the Rp 2 1/2" (65 mm) outlet thread, allowing the ZN_622_18 to achieve a maximum flow capacity of approximately 500 L/Min inside standard 6-inch borehole installations.

How does this deep well submersible pump resist corrosion and wear from sand?

The AISI 316 stainless steel pump end, AISI 316L stainless steel impellers and diffusers with removable wear rings, Duplex UNS S 31803 shaft, and Duplex UNS S 32304 coupling metallurgy in the ZN622/18 protects against groundwater oxidation and ensures reliable operation with sand up to 100 g/m³.
