Product Overview

The Lowara ZN631/18 is designed as a standalone borehole pump end to provide groundwater extraction as part of the Z6 Series. Operating this wet end requires secure coupling with a compatible 26 kW electric motor of the appropriate power rating. Designed for secure installation inside standard 6-inch deep wells, the assembly operates inside standard casings. It is suitable for groundwater supply and irrigation systems, municipal supply lines, and agricultural distribution projects.

To support long-term physical stability during operation, the structural sleeve and discharge head are engineered from cast AISI 316 Stainless Steel. The multi-stage centrifugal hydraulic assembly consists of 18 stages, each incorporating an AISI 316L stainless steel radial impeller. The integrated radial impellers are designed to limit abrasive wear from sand particles, supporting water containing up to 100 g/m³ of suspended sand.

Once paired with its designated 26 kW electric motor (nominal current rating of 54.2 Amps), the coupled assembly achieves up to 258.9 m maximum head. This multi-stage hydraulic wet end generates a maximum flow of 667 L/Min through its Rp 80 mm threaded connection. All performance parameters are in accordance with manufacturer technical specifications.

The pump has a maximum external diameter of 142 mm for installation inside standard 6-inch borehole wells. Maximum pump immersion depth is 300 m when used with C4S motors and 350 m when used with L6W motors. The lower support bracket incorporates a standard 6" NEMA-compliant mount for simple mechanical motor integration. Safe coupling requires correct mechanical alignment of the pump shaft and the motor shaft during mechanical coupling.

Is a non-return valve integrated into the discharge port and can this pump be positioned horizontally?

System backflow protection is established by an integrated stainless steel non-return valve in the ZN631/18 head, while horizontal positioning is supported at a minimum recommended 3° incline with the motor positioned lowest.

What maximum elevation height does this submersible water extraction pump provide?

To achieve high vertical water elevation, the ZN631-18 maintains a maximum dynamic head of approximately 258.9 m, ensuring robust delivery from deep wells.

Which plumbing connection fits the pump outlet head and what maximum flow is achieved?

The top outlet incorporates a Rp 3" (80 mm) discharge thread, enabling the ZN 631 18 to deliver a peak flow capacity of approximately 667 L/Min when installed in standard 6-inch borehole installations.

What materials protect this submersible bore pump from corrosion in deep well environments?

Defending against both corrosion and grit erosion, the ZN_631_18 uses AISI 316 stainless steel pump end, AISI 316L stainless steel impellers and diffusers with removable wear rings, Duplex UNS S 31803 shaft, and Duplex UNS S 32304 coupling to provide dependable service with sand up to 100 g/m³.

What are the electrical operating voltage and power requirements for this borehole unit?

Connecting the ZN631/18 motor to power requires a 6-inch NEMA L6W electrical configuration of 26 kW matching 380–415 V, 50 Hz, three-phase at 54.2 A.
