Product Overview
As a standalone component within the Z6 Series, the Lowara ZN631/20 represents a borehole wet end built for deep well supply. It is essential to pair this standalone pump end with a compatible 26 kW electric motor for deep-well water supply. The physical structure is designed for standard vertical placement inside standard 6-inch casings. It is suitable for pressure boosting and industrial networks and water distribution setups.
To support long-term physical stability during operation, the structural sleeve and discharge head are engineered from cast AISI 316 Stainless Steel. The multi-stage centrifugal hydraulic assembly consists of 20 stages, each incorporating an AISI 316L stainless steel radial impeller. The integrated radial impellers are designed to limit abrasive wear from sand particles, supporting water containing up to 100 g/m³ of suspended sand.
Once paired with its designated 26 kW electric motor (nominal current rating of 54.2 Amps), the coupled assembly achieves up to 287.6 m maximum head. This multi-stage hydraulic wet end generates a maximum flow of 667 L/Min through its Rp 80 mm threaded connection. All performance parameters are in accordance with manufacturer technical specifications.
The pump has a maximum external diameter of 142 mm for installation inside standard 6-inch borehole wells. Maximum pump immersion depth is 300 m when used with C4S motors and 350 m when used with L6W motors. The lower support bracket incorporates a standard 6" NEMA-compliant mount for simple mechanical motor integration. Safe coupling requires correct mechanical alignment of the pump shaft and the motor shaft during mechanical coupling.

What dynamic elevation head can this borehole pump achieve when drawing from deep aquifers?
When lifting groundwater from deep subterranean aquifers, the ZN631/20 delivers a maximum dynamic head of approximately 287.6 m, providing reliable water elevation across high vertical pipe columns.
What pipe size connects to the top discharge outlet and what peak flow rate is delivered?
Connecting to your delivery piping requires a standard Rp 3" (80 mm) outlet thread, allowing the ZN631-20 to deliver a peak flow of approximately 667 L/Min while designed to fit inside standard 6-inch borehole installations.
Is this submersible bore pump resistant to corrosion from minerals and particulate wear?
Corrosion defense in harsh underground water sources is provided by AISI 316 stainless steel pump end, AISI 316L stainless steel impellers and diffusers with removable wear rings, Duplex UNS S 31803 shaft, and Duplex UNS S 32304 coupling, allowing the ZN 631 20 to maintain structural integrity while tolerating suspended sand concentrations up to 100 g/m³.
What electrical power and voltage supply are required to operate this submersible pump?
Operating the ZN_631_20 pump end requires coupling to a 6-inch NEMA standard L6W submersible motor rated at 26 kW on a 380–415 V, 50 Hz, three-phase power supply, drawing approximately 54.2 A, with operating water temperatures supported up to 35°C and immersion depth up to 350 meters.
Does this pump include an integrated check valve and can it be mounted horizontally?
Reverse flow protection in the ZN631/20 is provided by an integrated stainless steel non-return valve in the microcast ASTM CF-8M discharge head, while horizontal mounting is supported at a minimum recommended 3° incline with the motor at the lowest position.
