Product Overview

Designed for deep well installations, the Lowara ZN646/18 is a standalone borehole pump end within the Z6 Series. It is essential to pair this standalone pump end with a compatible 26 kW electric motor for deep-well water supply. The physical structure is designed for standard vertical placement inside standard 6-inch casings. It is suitable for pressure boosting and dewatering networks and water distribution setups.

To support long-term physical stability during operation, the structural sleeve and discharge head are engineered from cast AISI 316 Stainless Steel. The multi-stage centrifugal hydraulic assembly consists of 18 stages, each incorporating an AISI 316L stainless steel radial impeller. The integrated radial impellers are designed to limit abrasive wear from sand particles, supporting water containing up to 100 g/m³ of suspended sand.

Once paired with its designated 26 kW electric motor (nominal current rating of 56.5 Amps), the coupled assembly achieves up to 183.2 m maximum head. This multi-stage hydraulic wet end generates a maximum flow of 1,000 L/Min through its Rp 80 mm threaded connection. All performance parameters are in accordance with manufacturer technical specifications.

The pump has a maximum external diameter of 142 mm for installation inside standard 6-inch borehole wells. Maximum pump immersion depth is 300 m when used with C4S motors and 350 m when used with L6W motors. The lower support bracket incorporates a standard 6" NEMA-compliant mount for simple mechanical motor integration. Safe coupling requires correct mechanical alignment of the pump shaft and the motor shaft during mechanical coupling.

What delivery port thread size is built into the pump and what peak volume is pumped?

Installation to delivery pipes is completed via the Rp 3" (80 mm) discharge head, with the ZN646/18 reaching a peak flow rate of approximately 1000 L/Min within standard 6-inch borehole installations.

What materials prevent corrosion and abrasive damage inside this borehole pump?

To withstand aggressive water tables, the ZN646-18 is manufactured from AISI 316 stainless steel pump end, AISI 316L stainless steel impellers and diffusers with removable wear rings, Duplex UNS S 31803 shaft, and Duplex UNS S 32304 coupling, ensuring robust resistance against wear and sand up to 100 g/m³.

What are the specific motor power and electrical voltage demands for this unit?

Electrical parameters for the ZN 646 18 specify a 6-inch NEMA L6W motor running on 380–415 V, 50 Hz, three-phase pulling 56.5 A, with safe operation up to 35°C and immersion to 350 meters.

Does this borehole pump include a non-return valve and can it be arranged horizontally?

Eliminating column reversal upon deactivation, the ZN_646_18 provides an integrated stainless steel non-return valve in the head and allows horizontal deployment at a minimum recommended 3° incline with the motor lowest.

How high can this borehole extraction unit propel water upward from underground aquifers?

Overcoming deep well hydraulic resistance, the ZN646/18 delivers a peak dynamic head of approximately 183.2 m for reliable water distribution.
