Onga PWT-SDB 0.8m Fibreglass Deep Bed Pool Filter with 1.2m Sand Bed and Service Manhole

Commercial filtration systems requiring greater media volume and extended filtration depth can utilise the Onga PWT-SDB-12-08-20 deep bed filter for continuous circulation and debris removal performance. The 0.8 metre vessel incorporates a 1.2 metre deep sand bed arrangement that supports stable hydraulic behaviour and increased media contact time throughout commercial operating cycles.

The filter provides an effective filtration area of 0.50 m² with maximum hydraulic flow rates reaching approximately 20.0 m³/hr. Backwash performance extends to approximately 16.2 m³/hr during maintenance and cleaning procedures, while the vessel accommodates approximately 914 kg of filtration sand media and operates at pressures up to 250 kPa.

Dual lateral layers distribute water evenly throughout the media bed to assist with consistent filtration performance and balanced hydraulic flow characteristics. A 4” sight glass assists operators during backwash procedures by allowing visual inspection of discharge clarity, while the servicing manhole provides direct internal access to the vessel during maintenance operations.

Manufactured using spun-woven UV resistant fibreglass, the tank provides durability against outdoor conditions, chemically treated water, and continuous commercial operation. The system also incorporates a 50 mm / 2” drain arrangement together with a 2” / 50 mm valve connection for commercial plumbing integration.
