Product Overview
Older heating installations or systems specified with wider valve centres require a longer pump body than the compact Alpha2 variant provides. The Grundfos Alpha2 25-60 180 fills that role while retaining the same AUTOADAPT self-adjustment, built for domestic radiator circuits where pipe spacing rules out the shorter 130 mm model.
Peak output reaches 32.3 L/Min against a maximum head of 6 m, drawn from a 34 W motor with current consumption automatically adjusting between 0.04 A and 0.32 A on a 1 x 240 V supply as the pump continuously tracks system resistance. The same 0.17 Energy Efficiency Index applies as the 130 mm version.
Rather than stepping between fixed speeds, output adjusts continuously to match actual heating demand, with an automatic reduced night-time duty mode lowering consumption further during low-flow overnight periods based on detected system behaviour. The cast iron housing and composite impeller suit closed-loop radiator circuits, with liquid temperatures supported from 2°C to 110°C.
At 180 mm port-to-port with 1 1/2 inch connections, the pump directly replaces older fixed-speed circulators of the same body length without requiring pipework modification. An IPX4D enclosure and Class F insulation complete the specification.

All products supplied by Foundation Pumps are covered by a minimum 12-month warranty unless otherwise stated. Some brands may offer longer manufacturer warranties. Warranty covers manufacturing defects, faulty materials and workmanship under normal use.
- Products must be installed correctly and in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions.
- Warranty does not cover incorrect installation, misuse, dry running, normal wear and tear, unauthorised repairs or damage caused by external factors.
- Proof of purchase, photos, videos and installation details may be requested when assessing a warranty claim.
- The customer is responsible for returning the product to Foundation Pumps or the nominated service centre unless otherwise agreed.
- Removal, reinstallation, labour and associated site costs are generally the customer’s responsibility unless required under Australian Consumer Law.
- Change-of-mind returns may be accepted within 30 days provided the product is unused, uninstalled and returned in its original packaging.
- Customers are responsible for return freight costs for change-of-mind returns.
- Restocking fees may apply to special-order, bulky or non-stocked products.
- Used, installed or specially ordered products may not be eligible for change-of-mind returns.
- If a product arrives damaged or faulty, please contact Foundation Pumps as soon as possible so we can assist with the appropriate repair, replacement or refund.
