Product Overview

Operating with a 3 kW motor rating, the NB 32-160/151 end-suction centrifugal pump features end-suction axial inlet (DN 50) and top radial outlet (DN 32) connections. The pump is specified for district heating, commercial air conditioning loops, and industrial water distribution.

The pump's hydraulic assembly yields 420 L/Min rated flow volume and a maximum operational head of 24.43 m. Structural strength relies on an EN-GJL-250 cast iron casing with cataphoresis coating. Internal hydraulics feature a stainless steel impeller and BQQE shaft seal. Physical product weight equals 59 kg.

The NB 32-160/151 pump's 415 V three-phase drive motor delivers 3 kW power output while drawing 10.3 Amps operating current. The pump accommodates circulating fluid temperatures from -25°C to 120°C under working pressures up to 16 bar. Standardized DN 50 suction and DN 32 discharge ports facilitate line placement.

An IP55 enclosure rating protects motor components on the NB 32-160/151 unit, backed by Class F insulation and built-in PTC thermistor sensors. Scheduled maintenance routines utilize back-pull-out access, enabling motor drive and impeller removal while leaving volute casing flange joints intact.

Features

  • O-ring seal between pump housing and cover eliminates leakage risk at the volute-to-cover joint under sustained operating pressures.
  • Optimised impeller and volute hydraulics deliver unimpeded liquid flow through the pump casing, reducing internal turbulence losses.
  • All stainless steel shaft construction provides improved corrosion resistance compared to carbon steel alternatives in wetted service areas.
  • Mechanical shaft seal can be replaced without removing the impeller, system piping, pump volute casing or drive motor from the installation.
  • Housing, impeller and wear ring use dissimilar material pairings to prevent galling and ensure no sticking elements during extended standby periods.
  • High-efficiency motor selection is configured to match the specific power supply characteristics, pumping environment and liquid properties of each installation.
  • Back pull-out design allows complete rotating assembly removal including motor, coupling and impeller without disturbing pump housing or connected pipework.

To withstand aggressive hydronic conditions, what metallurgy is engineered into the wet end?

The physical build of Grundfos NB 32-160/151 combines an electrocoated cast iron casing with a durable stainless steel impeller.

To sustain steady fluid movement, what incoming feed, motor kilowatts, and amps are required?

Running current for NB 32-160/151 is certified at 10.3 Amps across a three-phase 415 V line to power its 3 kW electric motor.

Through rigid end-suction volute passages, what media thermal limits and line pressure are rated?

Leak-free fluid containment is maintained by NB-32-160-151 across media temperatures of -25°C to 120°C and line pressures to 16 bar.

Discharging fluid through end-suction volute geometry, what total lift is delivered on site?

Displacing fluid across primary plant skids, NB 32 160 151 attains an operational dynamic head of approximately 24.43 m.

Through smooth internal casing passages, what peak volumetric flow rate is achieved on site?

Through smooth internal casing passages, NB/32/160/151 sustains a peak flow volume of approximately 420 L/Min.
