Product Overview
Operating with a 7.5 kW motor rating, the NB 50-125/144 end-suction centrifugal pump features end-suction axial inlet (DN 65) and top radial outlet (DN 50) connections. The pump is specified for district heating, commercial air conditioning loops, and industrial water distribution.
The pump's hydraulic assembly yields 1351 L/Min rated flow volume and a maximum operational head of 22.66 m. Structural strength relies on an EN-GJL-250 cast iron casing with cataphoresis coating. Internal hydraulics feature a stainless steel impeller and BQQE shaft seal. Physical product weight equals 111 kg.
The NB 50-125/144 pump's 415 V three-phase drive motor delivers 7.5 kW power output while drawing 14.3 Amps operating current. The pump accommodates circulating fluid temperatures from -25°C to 120°C under working pressures up to 16 bar. Standardized DN 65 suction and DN 50 discharge ports facilitate line placement.
An IP55 enclosure rating protects motor components on the NB 50-125/144 unit, backed by Class F insulation and built-in PTC thermistor sensors. Scheduled maintenance routines utilize back-pull-out access, enabling motor drive and impeller removal while leaving volute casing flange joints intact.
Features
- Cataphoretic electrocoating on cast iron internal surfaces provides barrier protection against oxidative corrosion in hydronic circulation loops.
- Close-coupled configuration eliminates coupling alignment procedures and reduces overall installation footprint compared to long-coupled alternatives.
- Ball bearing support arrangement accommodates both radial and axial thrust loads generated during continuous duty operation at rated speed.
- PN16 flanged connection ratings on sizes up to and including DN 150 provide elevated working pressure capability beyond standard EN733 10 bar ratings.
- O-ring seal between pump housing and cover eliminates leakage risk at the volute-to-cover joint under sustained operating pressures.
- Optimised impeller and volute hydraulics deliver unimpeded liquid flow through the pump casing, reducing internal turbulence losses.
- All stainless steel shaft construction provides improved corrosion resistance compared to carbon steel alternatives in wetted service areas.

Discharging bulk water volume into district piping, how much fluid volume does this unit move?
Operating with powerful fluid impulsion, Grundfos NB 50-125/144 achieves a maximum volumetric discharge rate of approximately 1350 L/Min.
Which durable materials protect this heavy-duty pump from internal fluid shearing and cavitation?
Floor-mounted stability is established in NB 50-125/144 by a heavy cast iron housing equipped with a durable stainless steel impeller.
Which electrical parameters in kilowatt capacity, supply voltage, and running current apply to this drive?
Energy delivery to NB-50-125-144 relies on an electric motor rated at 7.5 kW connected to a three-phase 415 V line at 14.3 Amps.
Concerning hydraulic line containment, how much working pressure and thermal fluctuation can it sustain?
Certified for heavy district duty, NB 50 125 144 circulates liquid media across -25°C to 120°C while withstanding pressures to 10 bar.
Operating under severe static elevation heads, what total pumping lift is delivered on site?
Within high-capacity urban utility facilities, NB/50/125/144 provides an operational lift height of approximately 22.66 m.
