Product Overview

The NB 50-160/177 end-suction centrifugal pump incorporates a 15 kW electric drive motor connected to DN 65 suction and DN 50 discharge flanged piping joints. Designed for continuous building service duty, the unit handles clean fluid movement across commercial plant installations.

Hydraulic rating calculations confirm a flow capacity of 1581 L/Min at a maximum head threshold of 38.78 m. The volute housing is constructed from cataphoresis treated cast iron. Rotor hydraulics feature a stainless steel impeller supported by bronze wear rings. Total net weight measures 148 kg.

Motor electrical configuration on the NB 50-160/177 pump requires a 415 V three-phase connection rated at 15 kW output power. Operating current measures 29.1 Amps at nominal speed. Liquid temperature ranges extend from -25°C to 120°C under 16 bar pressure. Connection is made via DN 65 inlet and DN 50 outlet flanges.

Motor security on the NB 50-160/177 end-suction pump features an IP55 rated housing, Class F thermal insulation, and PTC thermistor winding relays. The back-pull-out structural geometry permits technicians to remove the motor drive and rotor without dismantling connected suction or discharge pipe headers.

Features

  • High-efficiency motor selection is configured to match the specific power supply characteristics, pumping environment and liquid properties of each installation.
  • Back pull-out design allows complete rotating assembly removal including motor, coupling and impeller without disturbing pump housing or connected pipework.
  • EN733 and ISO2858 dimensional compliance ensures interchangeability with other standard end-suction pumps across commercial and industrial installations.
  • ATEX Zone 1, 2, 21 or 22 certification available for operation in potentially explosive atmospheres (except E-model variants).
  • Integrally cast suction and discharge ports with dedicated vent and drain ports provide direct connection points without additional fittings.
  • No baseplate or grouting required to maintain correct shaft alignment and vibration levels within Hydraulic Institute standards.
  • Cataphoretic electrocoating on cast iron internal surfaces provides barrier protection against oxidative corrosion in hydronic circulation loops.

In centralized municipal utility stations, what total dynamic column does this pump develop?

Anchored securely on a heavy steel baseplate, Grundfos NB 50-160/177 produces a maximum dynamic head of approximately 38.78 m.

Supplying heavy hydronic volume to plant headers, what peak volumetric throughput does this pump provide?

Displacing fluid through large axial suction ports, NB 50-160/177 attains a maximum flow rate of approximately 1581 L/Min.

Which alloys comprise the pressure boundary and rotating core of this heavy end-suction pump?

To resist hydrodynamic shearing, NB-50-160-177 incorporates an electrocoated cast iron volute and a precision-cast bronze impeller.

Across facility power systems, how is this high-output electric motor supplied on site?

Plant power infrastructure supplies a three-phase 415 V connection to NB 50 160 177, whose 15 kW drive pulls 29.1 Amps.

At elevated circulating temperatures, what maximum working pressure can this end-suction casing withstand?

Fluid media spanning -25°C to 120°C can be conveyed through NB/50/160/177 at maximum line pressures reaching 16 bar.
