Product Overview
The NB 65-160/143 end-suction centrifugal pump incorporates a 7.5 kW electric drive motor connected to DN 80 suction and DN 65 discharge flanged piping joints. Designed for continuous building service duty, the unit handles clean fluid movement across commercial plant installations.
Hydraulic rating calculations confirm a flow capacity of 1707 L/Min at a maximum head threshold of 20.72 m. The volute housing is constructed from cataphoresis treated cast iron. Rotor hydraulics feature a stainless steel impeller supported by bronze wear rings. Total net weight measures 116 kg.
Motor electrical configuration on the NB 65-160/143 pump requires a 415 V three-phase connection rated at 7.5 kW output power. Operating current measures 14.3 Amps at nominal speed. Liquid temperature ranges extend from -25°C to 120°C under 16 bar pressure. Connection is made via DN 80 inlet and DN 65 outlet flanges.
Motor security on the NB 65-160/143 end-suction pump features an IP55 rated housing, Class F thermal insulation, and PTC thermistor winding relays. The back-pull-out structural geometry permits technicians to remove the motor drive and rotor without dismantling connected suction or discharge pipe headers.
Features
- PN16 flanged connection ratings on sizes up to and including DN 150 provide elevated working pressure capability beyond standard EN733 10 bar ratings.
- O-ring seal between pump housing and cover eliminates leakage risk at the volute-to-cover joint under sustained operating pressures.
- Optimised impeller and volute hydraulics deliver unimpeded liquid flow through the pump casing, reducing internal turbulence losses.
- All stainless steel shaft construction provides improved corrosion resistance compared to carbon steel alternatives in wetted service areas.
- Mechanical shaft seal can be replaced without removing the impeller, system piping, pump volute casing or drive motor from the installation.
- Housing, impeller and wear ring use dissimilar material pairings to prevent galling and ensure no sticking elements during extended standby periods.
- High-efficiency motor selection is configured to match the specific power supply characteristics, pumping environment and liquid properties of each installation.

What power rating, supply voltage profile, and operating amperage govern this heavy-duty pump?
The induction motor system in Grundfos NB 65-160/143 provides 7.5 kW of shaft output, requiring a three-phase 415 V line drawing 14.3 Amps.
With elevated fluid temperatures, how does this end-suction unit maintain seal integrity across loops?
Permissible liquid temperatures for NB 65-160/143 span from -25°C to 120°C under a maximum system working pressure of 10 bar.
To drive water across expansive district piping, how far vertically can this pump elevate fluid?
For heavy district mechanical rooms, NB-65-160-143 maintains a maximum vertical delivery lift of approximately 20.72 m.
Displacing fluid through heavy municipal networks, how many liters of media does this pump move?
For primary plant room manifolds, NB 65 160 143 circulates an operational liquid volume of approximately 1707 L/Min.
To ensure reliable hydronic containment, what alloys make up the wet end of this centrifugal pump?
To endure severe primary loop conditions, NB/65/160/143 features an EN-GJL-250 cast iron housing with a precision-cast bronze impeller.
