Product Overview
Operating with a 30 kW motor rating, the NB 80-160/177 end-suction centrifugal pump features end-suction axial inlet (DN 100) and top radial outlet (DN 80) connections. The pump is specified for district heating, commercial air conditioning loops, and industrial water distribution.
The pump's hydraulic assembly yields 3562 L/Min rated flow volume and a maximum operational head of 32.93 m. Structural strength relies on an EN-GJL-250 cast iron casing with cataphoresis coating. Internal hydraulics feature a stainless steel impeller and BQQE shaft seal. Physical product weight equals 276 kg.
The NB 80-160/177 pump's 415 V three-phase drive motor delivers 30 kW power output while drawing 56.0 Amps operating current. The pump accommodates circulating fluid temperatures from -25°C to 120°C under working pressures up to 16 bar. Standardized DN 100 suction and DN 80 discharge ports facilitate line placement.
An IP55 enclosure rating protects motor components on the NB 80-160/177 unit, backed by Class F insulation and built-in PTC thermistor sensors. Scheduled maintenance routines utilize back-pull-out access, enabling motor drive and impeller removal while leaving volute casing flange joints intact.
Features
- O-ring seal between pump housing and cover eliminates leakage risk at the volute-to-cover joint under sustained operating pressures.
- Optimised impeller and volute hydraulics deliver unimpeded liquid flow through the pump casing, reducing internal turbulence losses.
- All stainless steel shaft construction provides improved corrosion resistance compared to carbon steel alternatives in wetted service areas.
- Mechanical shaft seal can be replaced without removing the impeller, system piping, pump volute casing or drive motor from the installation.
- Housing, impeller and wear ring use dissimilar material pairings to prevent galling and ensure no sticking elements during extended standby periods.
- High-efficiency motor selection is configured to match the specific power supply characteristics, pumping environment and liquid properties of each installation.
- Back pull-out design allows complete rotating assembly removal including motor, coupling and impeller without disturbing pump housing or connected pipework.

Supplying fluid momentum across transmission headers, what peak flow capacity is sustained on site?
Within multi-building energy stations, Grundfos NB 80-160/177 delivers a maximum volumetric flow rate of approximately 3562 L/Min.
In terms of structural containment, what alloys form the volute and fluid-directing runner?
Dimensional accuracy across seasonal cycles is preserved in NB 80-160/177 by an EN-GJL-250 cast iron shell and a durable stainless steel impeller.
Which electrical parameters in motor wattage, line voltage, and operational current run this heavy machine?
Connecting directly to facility power boards, NB-80-160-177 draws 56.0 Amps from a three-phase 415 V line to drive its 30 kW motor.
For high-pressure installations, what liquid temperature span and working pressure are certified on site?
Process liquid temperatures spanning -25°C to 120°C are safely circulated by NB 80 160 177 under line pressures reaching 16 bar.
Operating under full hydraulic capacity, how high can this end-suction pump drive fluid?
Within regional facility plant rooms, NB/80/160/177 develops a peak dynamic elevation column of approximately 32.93 m.
